Lord,
We ask that you watch over the innocent people suffering in Liberia. Grant their misguided leaders the wisdom to step down, leave the country and allow peace to reign in this land of woe as president Bush has requested.
As their forefathers were liberated from slavery in the US, so let the people of today be released from the oppression caused by this civil war. Let them not wallow in homelessness and hunger.
We also pray for the American soldiers called to keep peace in this troubled land.
