I am asking you all if you could say a little prayer for my mother. She has been asked back for repeat tests in the last couple of months to her doctor, because some spots showed up in a scan. I asked my dad, how she was doing and he sounded worried because she didn't want to talk about it and she got nervous and started shaking. Her mother died of ovarian cancer in her fifties and we are scared she might have the same. They are coming out to visit my brother and I in a couple of days, and I am not sure what to say, since I don't want to upset her. I didn't make it back for Christmas so I want the time to be enjoyable for her while she visits.
My father dodged a cancer scare last year, but i am not sure we will be so lucky with her. I would gladly give up my blessings so that they may be passed on to her.
On a lesser note but very important to me, my wife has been battling a weight problem for some years and if you could say a prayer for her that God may help her find happiness with herself. She has tried so very hard to lose the weight but nothing seems to be working. She is a very kind and wonderful person that has taught me to be kind and less selfish.
