Doing this to try and disrupt it. We dont know. I betcha given the time, I could provide 10 websites and information saying this was all a conspiracy to stop Christmas. So where am I going with this? I try to live life by the Bible. And in the Bible NOWHERE does it say not to celebrate the birth of my Lord and Savior. I dont put my faith in man and mans information, I put it in God's. Every verus provided, once I studied and read more was either twisted to mean something else or totally unrelated to celebrating Christmas.

And even if it does have pagans roots, God is using it.(not saying it does, but even if that is true) How many people hear the gospel during this time? How many people go to church for a Christmas play to see a friend or family member and end up getting saved? I was saved on Easter Sunday, another so called pagan rooted holiday. If I hadnt gone to church on that day and I went ONLY because it was Easter Sunday, I d still be lost and bound for hell.

Last yr, during the week of our Christmas play, which ran for 4 days, if I m not mistaken 300+ people got saved. We had 800+ people there every night. It got so big over the last 5 yrs, they had to start given out tickets. 300 souls saved and youre going to tell me its wrong? Regardless of who started it or what intentions they had, God is using it.People will get saved bc of the celebration on Dec 25th. People world wide will hear Gods word bc of this day.

Just to clear up something, I didnt get mad at anyone on here. I got mad at the actions by some. Didnt get mad over the information, just some of the actions.

Merry Christmas,
Brad

BEAUTIFUL post and thankyou . Merry Christmas to you and yours. God bless.

actually, sis, I do have this cute little Xmas tree from China that I bought in the USA, and I put two sets of the cutest little lights from China on it, and the little lights are a very dark-blue and deep-purple, just delicious to look at. it is now on my desk at work.

for the rest of the year it has to be put away, they say. even now they say it should be put away, they say ... [crying]

but mostly my family did not exchange gifts. only my non-Christian sister and I sometimes exchange gifts for Christmas.

but other than that I just got the little China tree. [roll on floor]

May the LORD YHWH and the Lord God Jesus bless us all on this CBBS, I am BORN AGAIN in the USA by the [Cross]

Ooooh. Dark blue and deep purple. Very chic.

What would we do without good ole China. And Taiwan in the not so distant past. Funny. Some of my favorite kitschy "western" trinkets were made in Japan! [updown]

Instead of seeking to kill Christmas, let's pray that God will use this time to bring salvation to many.

Shadowmaker,

I agree with you. Christmas is a special time for many of us Christians, who have not bought into the lie of leaglistist who are more concern with kicking the Catholic Church and anything it stands for then honoring their Savior's birth.

Amen Deb. I agree with you. And the lowly attacks that I read came from the proponents of Christmas and not from those who have spoken up to say that Jesus was not born on Dec 25th. No one has desired to take anything from anyone. A few have desired to speak the truth about the origins of the Yule season and all its traditions and to speak the truth about when Jesus was born and why it is so important to know about this appointed time.

If that threatens your Christmas, you might ask yourself why.

Celebrate the season as you will; I will be cooking a turkey on Christmas Day God willing and my family will come together, God willing and we will pray and bless jesus that day as we do every day, but we will not be calling it his birthday. Praise God we all know when HE was born and why that appointed time is significant, and he not the reason for a season, but for every season of our lives. I am thankful that he has led me not to lie before the world telling them that God is honored by the materialistic commercialism of Christmas and my participation in it.

This is such a telling statement and very sad. The only thing some of us have Attempted to do is Share the TRUTH in Love. For that, I will not apologize. To everyone who has been offended by my postings, I didn’t come to this place easily… it’s taken years of research and prayer. It is God whom I seek to Honor and Worship. Obviously, I didn’t do this to win a popularity contest [Wink] Please, re-read the evidence given and prayerfully consider it. Ask the LORD to reveal HIS Truth to you and He Will!

God Said:

quote:
"When the Lord your God cuts off before you the nations which you are going in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, beware that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?' You shall not behave thus toward the Lord your God, for every abominable act which the Lord hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it." (Deuteronomy 12:-29-32).
Jesus (who Is God) Said:

quote:
John 14: 15"If you love me, you will obey what I command.

For those of you who have resorted to lowly attempts and attacks on other christians, to ruin our Christmas, shame of you. I m not going to keep reading all the lame attempts to prove that its wrong. The twisting of scripture to make it mean what you want it to mean. If you cant find the scripture that says "YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS", then its not wrong. God Bless you all and Merry Christmas.

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"
It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
It's the hap -happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap - happiest season of all

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

There'll be parties for hosting

And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
