People... do you not see what they are doing?
The government is in huge debt...
These programs are designed to do two things -- remove the debt from the government and put the debt on our shoulders -- keeping us slaves (what did the bible say about debt?)
The second thing is to make us more dependents of the government by forcing us to rely on them for our health care -- and by this we give them more of our money...
Can anyones ay socialist?

The "cash for clunkers" program and "health care reform" make absolutely no sense. Our government has no good reason to get into the "used car business" by giving car dealers money to buy "clunkers" so that they can sell new cars. The anticipated savings on gas consumption will never pay for the cost of this program.
And "health care reform" that is going to be implemented by several "insurance" programs will not work, because any "insurance" program is only a financial contract between individuals who pay premiums in order to be eligible for specific benefits when those might be needed. But such benefits can only be paid if the "insurance" provider (whether it is public/government or private) makes a profit from its premium paying members. Individuals who have pre-existing conditions or are older or who smoke or have such handicapes are expected to pay more for their "insurance" than those who don't have such handicapes. No "insurance" company can stay in business if it ignores the risk factors of its clients. And few well trained experienced doctors will want to become "employees" of health care providers who may go broke or who have severe caps placed upon their benefits to clients or their salaries to employees.
What our government is doing with these programs is nonsense!

You are so right KnowHim, They can take away everything you have including your life. The new proposed Obama health reform is moving us closer to euthanasia.
