Very interesting. That is a lot to think about.

I am not one who wants to disenfranchise any group of individuals. I am for them, not against, for I do not consider myself better. However I am not evidently, so perceived. Ok! And I have no choice in it. It is determined for me as for others. But let me say this: There is no security in socialism for those who seek it. But the Ob’mama phenomena is what it is because a lot of people have come to believe that there is. Socialist notions (though not recognized by some as such) are easily entertained in the hearts and minds of people who believe it to be an easier way, because they believe that there is a handout assured. Who doesn’t want easier?

This is especially true when someone in whom so many can more comfortably identify (than with others), appears on the scene to represent the assurance of such concepts, as the answer everyone is looking for. I mean, who can resist? If someone thinks of himself as downtrodden, he or she will lustfully jump at the opportunity for gain by whatever means it is available. So, it is not only easy, but even compelling to buy into a campaign when someone arrives, cleverly wrapping hopeful sounding, seemingly overlooked suggestions, with glittering oratorical gift-wrap, as though that is what will “fix it” for everyone. And the hungering wannabe’s, not knowing any better, and who are already convinced that more opportunity does come with implementation of socialistic concepts, gravitate to the gift-wrap, never minding the empty box. For promise alone, articulated , seems to resound with them, never mind the mechanics which may not even work. (Such cannot however, be convinced.)

And it is not so easily discerned how shallow the promise, or faulty the mechanics of which some of us are nevertheless ‘acutely’ aware (and our constitution affords we who study precious understanding thereof); and the concern for those of us who are so aware of the dangers is that the so easily duped (perhaps self-isolated, self pitying, who have now grown in numbers), will not let the facts get in the way of what they simply want to believe no matter the cost. (It is the perfect environment for the fostering of rebellion, or implementation of ill fated concepts such as we actually rebelled ‘against’ as a youthful nation.) Therefore they will not even begin to consider sound judgment, especially when those who are opposing are, in their eyes, evidently racy, and therefore seem to be disingenuous and misleading to dare suggest any inherent danger. Opportunity to them is opportunity. Everything else be damned.

Now enter political correctness. We who ‘do’ know are bound and gagged these days, and ever the more so as time goes on. We cannot speak or even dissent without being seen as menacing oppressors who oppose something incredibly good that is happening, in favor of the (supposedly underrepresented) underlings. We, it seems, are standing in the way if we dissent, and are making life hart for them. But even worse, we who are so easily silenced, nowadays, with respect to our evidently expected, politically correct behavior (especially in the political arena) are so blinded to where this political correctness is leading. we are simultaneously usurped and silenced (bound and gagged) by the very nature of taking this politically correct posture. Therefore we are walking blindly into the valley of the shadow, when our senses should be shouting danger!

Well you know, amazingly, if I may diverge a bit, we see from our very own Hollywood, movies that depict what will happen if we do become so stupid as to yield to these incompatible ideas which oppose our founding document. Yet we currently have Hollywood spokespeople, i.e. ‘actors’, who evidently are ignorant of their own craft’s portrayals (their very own movies), which portray the dangers of what can happen if our society loses sight of its founding principles, such as are illustrated in drama flicks; such as are portrayed imaginatively in futuristic sci-fi flicks. Yet even with this education from our own celebrated instrument of entertainment (which is the proud product of our own freedom), these uninformed spokespeople try to sell us on a new deal because the one we have, they say, is not working, so lending support to constitutional dissenters! Not so. If everyone doesn’t push together in the same direction, which all are not, it will seem like it is not working. It will seem like we need a new deal. And here these are, the supposedly ’knowing better crowd’, pushing from the front without knowledge that it is counterproductive and unnecessary. They don’t get it however. Call ‘em star struck.

But socialism, which they are shamelessly promoting, which I am wanting to address, and which seems like hope to some, means that one doesn’t own himself or his freedom (which makes me to wonder about the press who would forfeit their privilege). The government owns him. And he doesn’t own his own freedom of choices; the government determines them. It is such that what one actually thinks of as gain, is really forfeiture, but it isn’t seen for the shortsightedness of all who want immediate gain. But such favor is simply momentary favor, nothing more. It cannot last just like lending to the irresponsible cannot. Well, payback is forthcoming. We will not be the first country to come to its end. And it is not ‘unlikely’. It is certain.

In a socialist environment, fear regulates the government, for it is afraid of the people. I will use this one example: That is why there is a gun debate. For the founders of the country wanted people armed for this very reason, to prevent the government from dominating a free people. And what is most important in the mind of reformers, democrats in particular? One of the glaring evidences of their agenda’s is that they want to disarm the people. They are afraid, once established, if they can accomplish it, of being challenged, and would disarm citizens so that it so that they, the gov, could implement their agenda without resistance. It is paranoid. It is deliberate domination. It is control. It is suppression. Not that guns are important, per se, but the attitude of disarming, together with other obvious signs of ’change’ should send an alarm out to all who believe in America. For it is an indication that the end of freedom is near, and the government wants control - the upper hand, when we had all the while in our freedoms, the opportunity to get along, so preventing a takeover! I don’t care for Hugo Chavez!

Another issue if I may, can readily be seen in the lending crisis. Here we have a situation where people bent over backwards improperly to accommodate the wants or desires of one segment of the population (poorer people), by providing them the opportunity to own a house. It is not as though these could not own a house on their own by following the sound practices which allow anyone here in America to acquire a home; but these are accommodated improperly as though all, even the unworthy, deserve to ’easily’ own a house in America, and that on demand. It is however simply an ‘entitlement’ which means that it is something mandated at the expense of others.

So, who is more likely to default? Is it the person who worked hard to have equity in a home? For such a person will not easily forfeit his investment which was not so ‘easily‘ secured. He will also have pride in it (though he might ought to confess it and repent!). And he who does not have sweat equity (if I may misuse the term for a moment), will not appreciate what he has been given, as much as he who earned his home. Therefore if someone defaults, and we know who is more likely to, who will end up paying before too long? Someone else will. For someone has to absorb the cost of each home, and if there is no paying buyer, the 'unpaid for' home becomes a burden, first to the bank, then if there is an epidemic, as we have seen, the government. So then, by executive order from above (which is socialistic by definition), others will have to accommodate the deal who are not responsible, which means that government will, at our expense. That ‘my friend’ makes those of us who are required to accommodate the problem, which could have been averted by simple government oversight, slaves. That is how socialism works. And what happens next? Government wants more.
