David in my personal experience I can tell you that I have neglected many things that we out to do once we come to the knowledge of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. But thanks be to God that He does not let us wonder to far from our duties the call He have given to His people.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
The above verse is accomplish only by the Spirit of God, we know that we have to do it and yet in a blinking of an eye we find ourselves wanting or desiring other means to do it later and later leads neglecting the prime command. Not that by praying you will automatically escape but this is on of the strongest or primary means that God uses to draw you closer to Him.

Our Eschatology may vary even our Ecclesiology may be disputed among us but our Soteriology most assume a singularity and exclusivity which in biblical term is known as Quote; "The Narrow Way" and Quote!

Have you ever noticed when watching your favorite sport that the players are always calling for a time out. This got me to thinking about how many times we call for a time-out in our lives. Yes timeouts are good for our physical body, but not for our spiritual body. When we so often just procrastinate in doing what we need to do for our spiritual body and for our Lord.
This brought to mind the following scripture.
"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17
Procrastination. Just seeing the word makes me want to put off saying anything else. That's because I am under conviction in that area. And God has taught me that procrastination is a form of disobedience. When God tells us to do something and we don't do it, we can label our actions with all kinds of fancy words, but the bottom line is that it is sin. The days are passing and time cannot be stopped. You can't call a "time out" in life. And time cannot be stored like money in the bank. Really, the only thing you can do with time is use it or lose it. Someone has said, "Lost: One golden hour, studded with sixty diamond minutes. No reward offered, for it is lost forever." Redeem the time.
Have you been procrastinating about doing something? Maybe you are putting off telling someone about Christ out of fear they will reject you. Maybe you don't volunteer at a nearby nursing home even though the need is great because you think someone else will do it. Maybe you are delaying asking someone to forgive you because you are feeling ashamed. Friend, it's time.
