I don't watch a lot of movies, but happened to catch most of the X-Men 2 on TV a couple weeks ago. It was the first time I had seen either of the X-Men movies. I mentioned to a friend at work who I knew liked the movies (and happens to be Catholic). Today he showed me an article in the Catholic publication "faith". Apparently the producer, Ralph Winter, professes to be a Christian. It was an interesting article as he discussed his faith & the upcoming X-Men 3. But, I was a little disconcerted when I read a part about the first Left Behind movie, which he said he produced. Here is a quote:
quote: Faith: What about Left Behind was a disappointment?
Winter: The people who were controlling the purse strings were more interested in it becoming an evangelical tool than they were in telling the story that I was attracted to. Again, it points to the fact that the journey we're on as Christians should be about relationship and process, not about trying to convert people through a movie.
It said in the magazine that you could read the full interview at www.faithmag.com, but I couldn't find the article there.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there.
