Thank you. That makes sense. (And it was simple.)

I believe the meaning is that we are not to continue giving the gospel to those that continue to make fun of it.

We are tell everyone about Jesus but when someone just don't want to hear it then it is time to go on to someone that does.

You will know them by their disrespectful additude toward God.

I was visiting the Christian Evangelism board awhile ago where the subject was about the use of gospel tracts. I believe tracts are a good witnessing tool and have used them for years. But often times when I think about witnessing, Matthew 7:6 comes to mind: "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces."

What does this mean? I have puzzled over it for many years. I'm sure there's a simple explanation, but the meaning escapes me. (The impression I have is that we need to be very sensitive to God's leading in witnessing, not only in how we witness but to whom and when we witness--that "dogs" and "pigs" are not ready to receive God's word.)

If this is so, how do we recognize the dogs and pigs? I'm probably just off track here and would appreciate any insight any of you can provide.
