Thankyouthankyouthankyou! Right now, life is a giant trial period for us... but that's a good thing. ^_^ My husband and I, because of this, have understood what true repentance is, that it's not just an "I'm sorry" and do it again 5 minutes later and shrug your shoulders at it, but repentance is a hatred for sin.
Ecclesiastes fits us right now, and we have had to leard "vanities of vanities": how wonderful it is to live in comfyness, with a wonderful garden... but what good is it if the house is in strife? Through this trial we have become content with nothingness, so that we may worship God in truth.

I have gotten three of these in the last month or so. All from Nigeria it says.
I just delete them. They usually end up in my junk mail to begin with anyways. I also get all kinds of other emails advertising things such as porn etc.
I use hotmail, but open the emails through the Outlook express program, where I can preview a message in a smaller area without technically opening it. I use this because I get many emails from people whom I don't know, that are important (for example people who would like me to interview them for my website etc.)
I find that now that I can preview them, I can usually figure out the contents of the email by the big flashy header, (if it's porn or something) and delete it without scrolling down and seeing anything I don't want to.
As for these scams, It also helps to block the sender when you delete it. Then again there's my uncle, who just writes back and tells them they can send the money to his paypal account ![[Wink]](wink.gif) Funny that with all that desperate need of theirs, they never do it ![[updown]](graemlins/updown.gif)

When in doubt, throw it out. If it is too good to be true then it is too good to be true.
The Bible says that if a man doesn't work, he shouldn't eat. These get rich quick schemes seem to bypass working and feeding the con-artist so he doesn't have to work.
People are so greedy these days that they don't think. Their selfishness overcomes reason. A fool and his money are soon parted.
One of these emails came over the fax machine at work. The field where the sending fax number was supposed to be was blank. The bad guys left it blank so you can't trace it back to them when they take your money.
I'll tell you one thing, it is hard enough to find an honest person to go into business with. And the pastoral epistles talk about people who don't have a work ethic. It tells me they are bad news.

I have received these emails several times along with p.... enlargements, viagra, mortgage offers, and human growth hormones and there are slowly driving me crazy. I am starting to filter them by "message rules" but they just keep coming and coming. Whatever you do, never respond back to these spammers. And on the bottom of these emails, it might say " click here to be removed from our mailing list". Do not click there, it just validates to these spammers that your email address is alive and well.

Thank goodness I havent...I am so tired of spam though. I have a program that filters it all for me..but some still seeps through. I just wonder what kind of people send these things out?
Especially messages like that..dont they know that its clearly the devil in their lives? ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif) Just awful!

Email I received today. Just wondering if anyone else is getting these. I have no idea what it is all about but they sure make it sound real. Scams are everywhere! Beware!

Calvary Greetings.
I am a preacher with the Seed Harvest Ministry,and I
will like to get advice from you.I believe the advice
I need is secular to some extent,but do have the
patience to understand my intention.
A few year's ago I was in Liberia where I had
established a little congregation where I preached
regularly,but the civil war escaleted and the church
was converted to a hospital of sourghts. On one faith
full day three Nigerian Soldiers came to me and left
trunks of Money with me and swore to come back for it.
When the war in Liberia intensified I deposited this
box in a security vault in Oversea,I was escorted to Togo
by the ECOMOG soliers who felt the content of the
trunks were documents and never cared to check the
trunks,I was air lifted to OVERSEAA with other refugees
then,I stayed in OVERSEA and when I was getting
fraustrated I returned to Africa only to find out that
two of the three Soldiers died in Battle while the
last was decleared MIA (Missing in Action).
Now I have the fund which the soldiers said was over
Five million dollars,but it lies in a security vault
in a Security Company in oversea,and I was contacted in a
letter dated 12th of MAY by the security company
asking me to indicate if I was in reciept of the
letter as a sign that I am living and still subscribed
for their service.
I am interested in using a small fraction of this
money,much less than one percent for a re organisation
of the work,but I do not need the rest and do not want
to have any direct dealing with it,but I need someone
who will be able to use the fund better maybe for
charity or something universally profitable,I have
thought of doing it my self but,my ministry is the
apocalypse and I believe and preach the soon comming
of the Lord which make me not indulgent in reliance on
money or wealth in any form.
I also do not have the money that has accrued on the
service and safe deposit of the company that holds the
fund,I will be glad if you have any interest in the
direction of maybe managing or transmitting the fund
as you prefer in your capacity and understanding.
