Yesterday I heard on the news about an asteroid thay could hit the earth in the year 2036. There is a 1 in 45,000 chance that it will hit the earth, and scientists are even asking the United Nations to draw up a plan to deflect or blow up the asteroid in case it does come too close or is aimed at the earth. I think the name of the asteroid was Apophis.
It made me wonder whether asteroid Apophis was that mountain that is supposed to be threwn into the sea in Revelation 8:8:

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third part of the sea became blood.
That in turn made me wonder how one-third of the sea could become blood, short of a miracle, because there were NOT that many animals in the sea anymore.
But then I realized that an asteroid like Apophis would create a HUGE TSUNAMI probably worldwide which would go up on the land and pull HUGE AMOUNTS of humans into the sea, just as in Phuket, Thailand in that Indonesian tsunami, but WAY LARGER. A worldwide tsunami like that could pull one-third of the people on earth and land into the sea.
Did you hear about asteroid Apophis which could hit the earth in 2036? Is it THAT mountain? Could be. It is now 2007 and 2036 is just 29 years away, which kind of fits my time idea of when the Second Coming of Jesus might occur so that could be asteriod Apophis.
