What is missing is a sense of scale within the programme. Not real evidence on how widespread these opinions are within different countries as Muslims are spread throughout the world not just the Middle Eastern region.
For example, the most populous Muslim country isn't in the Middle East - it's Indonesia. Also, Iran isn't an Arab country and it's debatable whether it is a 'Middle Eastern' country. The people are Persians and speak Farsi rather than Arabic.
I haven't ever seen anyone do any quantitative analysis of actually how widespread Islamic Extremism is - all I see is comments not backed up by data like 'it's widespread' or 'it's only a few not the majority'. I'd be interested in an independent study.
