Eagle,
quote: You made a remark about being in torment now that you're saved, and that's not necessarily written in stone. Yes there are times we feel tormented, from the Enemy. Yes sometimes God will lead us through things we need to change by conviction, but that shouldn't be "torment". maybe grieving, but not torment.
You are correct and thanks. I was stressed at the time and didn't express myself correctly. You are exactly right, grieved but not tormented.
I think the reason why I feel this way is because of how old I was when I got saved. I lived my life blindly for 34 years and didn't have a care in the world. Then all of a sudden I was jolted into Spiritual "reality" and it has been overwhelming. Although it is getting harder to remember the "old" me, I am still getting adjusted to the "new" me. And I can tell you this, He IS coming soon. I felt Him pull hard on me the last year before I was saved. And now that I can "see", I understand why.
I realize that I need to take time and "smell the roses", but that's hard with all the weeds I see now. I am trying to focus on how blessed I am in every way.
quote: I get excited to see all these things happening, but also wonder and pray I will be strong enough.
Thanks Eagle, and thank God for outlets like this board. Know that I am here for all of you guys as well. We need to keep everyone's Spirits lifted. These are crazy times but hopefully we can all find comfort in knowing our eternal destiny.
Thanks a bunch for the post Eagle and God bless.

Ripp, Don't get overwhelmed, you are taking in alot of imformation and trying to process it and getting overloaded. -
I tend to do that to myself sometimes, and then realize I need to take a break and reflect, strive to keep my life in balance, which is easier of course with the Lord.. His yolk is easy and burden light...."

You are doing so much to learn about the world and it's overwhelming. It's a good thing, and I enjoy your findings and posts. Don't let that old snake get you down. His time is short, and he's just roaring and trying to scare and torment anyone he can.
God is in control. He loves you and will keep you.
I get excited to see all these things happening, but also wonder and pray I will be strong enough.
I don't know if I'm on target, for you, but if not, ...know you are appreciated.

God bless you Betty, that was exactly what I needed. I guess it is easy to get distracted with all the chaos. Thank you.

As much as I pray for Jesus to return soon, I still enjoy life. It is weird but as I get more restricted in my movement, the more I am able to see joy in little things. The colors of a night sky, watching my little tomatoes grow in front of my apartment, and looking at birds gather on a lamp post can all make me smile. I can't say I never get depressed. Some days when I have alot of pain I can get depressed but the Lord brings something simple like the things I mentioned above and brings me a smile. I am not going to try to give you a pep talk. To be honest, I don't know how. But, I suggest you look for joy in the simple pleasures. Sometimes many little things are just as good one thing. Another thing to do is try to make one person smile every day. A family member or a stranger. Sometimes you can change a clerk's whole day by just being nice to him or her. Let others see Jesus in You. God bless you, honey. I hope this helps you Betty

You're welcome Betty. Sure are a lot of things going on these days.
I have a question for you Betty, and whoever else would like to respond. Born Again said:
quote: What surprises me about this planet is, one, that it exists at all, and second, that it is not all that much of a fun place.
One would have thought that an amazing place like the earth hanging loose on "gravitational space" would at least have been a fun place. But it is not.
My question is, do most of you believers feel this way? I realize that I feel more tormented now that I'm saved. Each day I go to sleep hoping that I will be raptured during the night. Each day I wake up hoping this is the day. The world is growing increasingly more depressing, and I am having a hard time dealing with it. I feel more disconnected with the world every day and I'm not sure how to deal with it. Betty or anyone, please respond. Truthfully, I could use a pick-me-up. Not a pep talk or anything, just would like to know that I'm not losing it. God bless.
