The Palestinian parliament votes to create the new post of prime
minister, in what is seen as a significant reform.

This is a major story that has dipped under the prophetic radar. This also another step toward peace.
Look for Prime Minister Elect Mahmoud Abbas to eventually elbow out Yasser Arafat and become the new face of Palestine.
Arafat, however, may be pulling the strings behind the scenes, but in the long run, I believe that they maybe preparing to phase him out.
Personally, it wouldn't shock me if he is in very poor health. I have no proof of this, but he's not getting any younger and the few recent interviews he has granted he appeared sickly and frail. I'm not saying he's at deaths door but it wouldn't surprise me either.
