And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great" (Rev 16:21).
I don’t want to imply that we’re seeing a fulfillment of Rev 16:21 in the following report out of China. I would simply see this isolated event as an example of what will experienced all over the world in greater severity.
As many as 29 people are feared dead after a violent hailstorm hit southern China, catching several fishing boats at sea off guard. The bodies of four fishermen were found drifting ashore in Guangdong province's Leizhou peninsula, while 25 other fishermen were missing, said Yin Peihua, vice head of the anti-disaster department of nearby Zhanjiang city.
A Zhanjiang civil affairs official previously said there was "little chance" of finding the missing people alive. More than 1,030 villages, and their 220,000 inhabitants, were struck by the hailstorm, which swept across the Zhanjiang region.
Some 110 farm workers were injured and trees were uprooted in the storm, previous reports said. In Jinghong and Hetou towns, some farmers reported seeing a hailstone weighing 50 kilograms (110 pounds), with the ground carpeted with a thick coating of hailstones
