Strong example of permissiveness!

-----------
Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

from Family Bible Notes commentary:
No child becomes wise and virtuous by pursuing his own inclinations, but only by faithful instruction and discipline.

-----------
That was a pertinent link between the coeds experimenting with pagan practices and Freudian permissiveness, part of the 50 year atheistic social engineering experiment.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; .. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth....

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be d----- who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

-----------
"God shall send them strong delusion." The acceptance of occult power might be that "strong delusion."

But the apostle Paul assures those who are faithful in Christ, that they'd be "[established] in every good word and work." --

2 Thessalonians 2:14-17 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught.... Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

And the parents wonder where did we go wrong or they will blame the School system. Strong example of permissiveness!

'No sense of sin' attracts converts'

Syracuse University students recently lit candles in the school’s Hendricks Chapel. What made this event unusual, however, was the fact that these students were members of the Syracuse University Pagan Society.

No one objected to the event, held in the same center used by Christian, Jewish and Muslim students, according to Hendricks Chapel Dean Rev. Thomas Wolfe.

"There is a cultural shift with college students identifying themselves less as religious and more as spiritual," Wolfe told Fox News.

This new openness to paganism goes beyond chapel access. Syracuse is among a growing number of colleges offering classes in witchcraft. The University of Arizona and Lehigh University in Pennsylvania excuse students from class on Wiccan holidays.

"On campuses today, sorcery and witchcraft no longer carry a negative connotation for many students, especially girls, who are particularly vulnerable," Linda Harvey, president of Mission America, a cultural think tank, told C&F Report.

"Women’s studies and religion courses often spend far more time today on Wiccan beliefs, feminist empowerment, and goddess worship than on traditional Christianity. In fact, in some courses, students are asked to create and lead classes in a 'ritual.' In other words, they cast spells for college credit," she added.

But the self-empowerment aspect of Wicca is attracting a growing number of young men as well. Anthony Paige is a recent SUNY Purchase College graduate and founder of a student group there.

The attraction, he told Fox News, is that "there is no sense of sin. There is a karmic law, but there’s no scorn or condemnation."

Popular media images also contribute to the curiosity. Television shows like Charmed and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as films like The Craft and the Harry Potter series, are fueling interest in Wicca, according to evangelist Eric Barger of Take A Stand Ministries.

"Young girls want to be involved in witchcraft," he told Fox News. "There is an occult explosion going on around us."

Since many who practice Wicca and other pagan religious streams are sole practitioners, it is difficult to estimate the numbers of students who are involved. But, given the growing openness surrounding
