You have thought-provoking ideas that are good for us to think through.

GOD created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. He is really smart, infinitely intelligent. He is alive forever and so powerful He can change the universe on a dime. That is why our prayers really make a difference. Can any human or spirit outsmart Him? What a laughable idea. Can He figure out how to evaluate us righteously? Yes. Can He make the universe so we really have free will? Yes. Can He make the universe so all His purposes happen even if we choose to oppose Him or submit to Him either way? Yes. It's like we think we can beat the greatest chess-master ever with our minor intellectual skills. Not going to happen.
He is our all in all. He loves us. Amen.
John 3:16

Even during His earthly ministry, while Jesus lived among them and worked His miracles, He was not recognized by many people.

John 3:16-21 (NASB)
16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."

People need not be afraid though.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
11‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 12‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Psalm 32:1-2
Blessed (happy) is he whose transgressions are forgiven, who sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord doesn't count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world. He died for all that will come to know Him as their Lord. Salvation is a free gift to all. One only needs to repent and turn from their sin, place their faith in Jesus Christ as the one who has paid their sin dept by the shedding His blood for us as He is the spotless Lamb of God.

He died for all but not all will come to Him and repent and be born again. So if you would like to have eternal life with Jesus Christ today is the day of salvation. Come to know Jesus and be born again. Just pray and ask Jesus to save you.

"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. ~ Matthew 7:13-14

Yes there is a BROAD road and many are on it. Those on the broad road have not given their life to Jesus Christ. You have the opportunity to come to Jesus today. Jesus said FEW find it. Don’t wait, it could be to late. If you choose to stay on the broad road, it is your choice.

Christ draws the line as clearly as possible between the way that leads to destruction and the way that leads to life.

Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Romans Chapter 1
verse in context

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

I'll talk as long as you want to talk. Debate provides us with the opportunity to share our beliefs.

Trials, tribulations and persecutions are not a "gospel". They are consequences of the world resisting the gospel. Jesus taught the gospel of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is within us now, a spiritual kingdom. When Christ returns, His Kingdom will be made manifest and will include the entire world. That is the coming Millennial Kingdom.

We teach about the Kingdom, but mostly we teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Yes we suffer trials and tribulations, and yes we are given the armor of God, but the gospel is still one of peace. NOT prosperity though (where did you get that idea?)

What is the gospel of Jesus Christ?

The word gospel means “good news,” so the gospel of Christ is the good news of His coming to provide forgiveness of sins for all who will believe (Colossians 1:14; Romans 10:9). Since the beginning of time when the first man sinned, mankind has been under the condemnation of God (Romans 5:12). Because everyone breaks God’s perfect law by committing sin (Romans 3:23), everyone is guilty (Romans 5:18). The punishment for the crime of sin is physical death (Romans 6:23) and then an eternity spent in a place of eternal punishment (Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:46). This eternal separation from God is also called the “second death” (Revelation 20:14–15).

The fact that all are guilty of sin and condemned to spend eternity in a place of torment is very bad news. But God, because of His love for the world, has made a way for man to be forgiven for their sins (John 3:16). He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take the sins of man on Himself through death on a cross (1 Peter 2:24). In placing our sin on Christ, God ensured that all who will believe in the name of Jesus will be forgiven (Acts 10:43).

This is the gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news that God provided the way for man to be freed from the penalty of sin (John 14:6: Romans 6:23). But not all people will be saved from hell; only those who place their faith in Jesus will go to heaven when they die (Acts 4:12).

No, no, no. We cannot earn salvation by works of the Law given through Moses. Salvation is a free gift given by grace through faith.

But the Law of God, the Law of Christ is LOVE.

What is the law of Christ?

Galatians 6:2 states, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” (emphasis added). What exactly is the law of Christ, and how is it fulfilled by carrying each other’s burdens? While the law of Christ is also mentioned in 1 Corinthians 9:21, the Bible nowhere specifically defines what precisely is the law of Christ. However, most Bible teachers understand the law of Christ to be what Christ stated were the greatest commandments in Mark 12:28–31, “‘Which commandment is the most important of all?’ Jesus answered, ‘The most important is, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” The second is this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.’”

The law of Christ, then, is to love God with all of our being and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. In Mark 12:32–33, the scribe who asked Jesus the question responds with, “To love Him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” In this, Jesus and the scribe agreed that those two commands are the core of the entire Old Testament Law. All of the Old Testament Law can be placed in the categories of “loving God” or “loving your neighbor.”

Various New Testament scriptures state that Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament Law, bringing it to completion and conclusion (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23–25; Ephesians 2:15). In place of the Old Testament Law, Christians are to obey the law of Christ. Rather than trying to remember the over 600 individual commandments in the Old Testament Law, Christians are simply to focus on loving God and loving others. If Christians would truly and wholeheartedly obey those two commands, we would be fulfilling everything that God requires of us.

Christ freed us from the bondage of the hundreds of commands in the Old Testament Law and instead calls on us to love. First John 4:7–8 declares, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” First John 5:3 continues, “This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome.”

Some use the fact that we are not under the Old Testament Law as an excuse to sin. The apostle Paul addresses this very issue in Romans. “What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!” (Romans 6:15). For the follower of Christ, the avoidance of sin is to be accomplished out of love for God and love for others. Love is to be our motivation. When we recognize the value of Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf, our response is to be love, gratitude, and obedience. When we understand the sacrifice Jesus made for us and others, our response is to be to follow His example in expressing love to others. Our motivation for overcoming sin should be love, not a desire to legalistically obey a series of commandments. We are to obey the law of Christ because we love Him, not so that we can check off a list of commands that we successfully obeyed.

so Carol- it seems you are still hung up on works of the law and not by faith in Christ which is the only way - all this is now just a mass of confusion due to the many and various false interpretations and refusal to take what Christ actually says and said by those who still walk no more with Him - wincam

No, but Christ can and does still speak to their hearts. He will not be silenced by any mere human rebellion, or by the fallen enemy Satan.

Romans 1:18-20 (NASB)
18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Romans 2:14-16 (NASB)
14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, 16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.

In areas where ISIS is most active and brutal, there have been a growing number of Muslims accepting Christ as their Lord.

We are all born with the sin nature we received from Adam. Christ offers salvation to everyone, but each individual must make a free choice to accept Christ as Lord and Savior.

Romans 10
9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Hi, and welcome [wave3]

No, the Lord has not failed. I am assuming that you are asking your question because of current events? We have been given numerous prophecies concerning the Last Days, or the End Times as some say. Here is just one of those prophecies. I can't say for sure that the End Times are here, but it sure seems like it sometimes.

2 Timothy 3 (NASB)
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
