Romans 15: 5 through 7;
May God who gives endurance and encouragement, give you a Spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may Glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another,then, just as Christ accepted you in order to bring Praise to God.
I have bowed away for a while as I don't want to get on the wrong side of mss Carol. But as the new year approaches we need to carefully take note of where the Christian faith is today. Seriously splintered and far off topic. There is no unity. There is no consensus of thought on where the Christian should be. There is no consensus of belief as to the sanctity of Scripture. In other words right now Christianity is a shadow of what once was.
Paul urged the Jews and Gentiles to come together in unity that their Praise to God might be a chorus of togetherness. WE must be united in the Scripture, in the Spirit, in the Worship, in the Intersession, in the Witness of the Word to the world. [and to each other]
Dear friends stand by the Scriptures, Stand in the Scriptures and stand under the Scriptures. Be of one accord in the Scriptures. It is the Base, the Very Foundation of what you Believe.
