Now as already discussed just briefly, Y’shua rose on the 1st day of the week (never known to the Hebrews as or called by them Sunday), which was an 8th day following a 7th day Sabbath. He rose on the Feast of First Fruits, as the the Lord's ordained and consecrated first fruits from the dead. Which is the reason why the Church has always celebrated this day. Listen carefully, it does not replace the seventh day sabbath, but is none the less, according to the Torah, a day of rest from the strivings of this world, and for us, it is a day of rest “in Messiah“, the Lord of the Sabbath, from our dead works, as well as a day of Holy convocation as commended by Christ and obeyed by the Apostles. It is not even remotely related to the idea of people "worshipping Sundays", as if we worship a day as some have accused.
Neither do we worship the Sun on it's day, neither symbolically do we do this, nor in ignorance, as this is repugnant to our God and His word! We join together on the first day of the week, which is the 8th day, the day which follows the 7th day Sabbath, just as the earliest Church did throughout the Book of Acts, in celebration of His resurrection. We gather to pray, break bread, sing hymns and spiritual songs, and to read from the Scriptures, as practiced and as instructed by the Apostles, not only in the Book of Acts, but in Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians as well! It is possible that all the first Christians (the Nasoreans or Nazarenes) continued to observe the Sabbath as well, but still gathered on the 1st day as the body of Christ! But our tradition passed on through the Apostles even to their immediate students was to gather on the 1st day of the week, and so it has continued right up unto this time. So no more lies about how this was only something forced upon us after Constantine (325 A.D.) for this should suffice to make clear that it was the practice before he was even born.
Messiah made His first post-resurrection appearance when the disciples were gathered together on a 1rst day of the week! He appeared the next two times among His disciples on a 1rst day of the week! He delegated their spiritual authority on a first day! He opened the disciples minds to the Scriptures, gave the great commission, and other Post-Resurrection instructions on a first day! They were all gathered in the upper room and received the Holy Spirit on a first day, which was also and eighth day following a seventh day Sabbath, the day of Pentecost! Therefore the true Ecclesia of God was baptized, sealed, and born on the first day, which is also an eighth day!
