1 Corinthians 13:4-5, "Love suffers long and is kind; ... does not behave rudely"
Ephesians 5:25, "Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for her"
____________

Would you agree that from the cradle to the grave, we all need love? In February of every year we celebrate the special occasion of Valentine’s Day wherein we express our love by flowers, chocolate, cards, romantic dinner, or special gift for the person who has captured our heart. It’s nice that such a day in February is set aside to remember that special person in our life. However, if you are a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, you should always be mindful of God's great Love for you each day. God's Love is demonstrated by His priceless gift to us, in that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16). This is divine Love; Jesus loved not only His friends but also His enemies. Jesus said in John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." That is as high as human love can go, to die for your friends and your own loved ones. I would be willing to die for my wife or child, but to be willing to give my son to die that my worst enemy might live would require divine love.
____________

Can you remember back many years ago of the computer virus known as "The Love Bug". The virus spanned the globe by e-mail, infecting millions of computers in less than a 24-hour period. It seems that even wary people like top software engineers could not resist opening a message titled simply, "I Love You." Some analysts have said that the success of the destructive computer virus reveals as much about the longings of the human heart as it does about the vulnerability of the machines in our cyber-society. Down deep, every person on planet earth is looking for love. Thus, it’s no wonder that one of the best-known verses in the Bible is John 3:16. Could it be that the love we long for the most is God's love? Is Jesus Christ the special person we so eagerly seek to sweep us off our feet? If so, then accepting God's love in Christ could change our lives in many remarkable ways. Hope, peace, and a zest for living, they all spring from being in love with Jesus. When God says, "I love you," it is the message we have all been looking for, because it changes lives.
____________

Closing thoughts:

Have you ever thought about or ever considered the significance of the words, "Jesus loves you"? Have you ever considered what it means to have the Creator of all things know your name? Have you ever thought of the comfort in knowing that the Great Physician has your best interests at heart? Have you ever pondered the security of knowing that the Good Shepherd is watching over you, and have you contemplated what it means that Jesus cared enough to die for you? My brethren, Jesus is asking all who have accepted Him as Savior to be instruments of His love for those who need help. Why? Because He longs to touch as many lives through you as possible. What does it mean to have Someone like that love you? My friend it means life, peace, hope, and joy that are everlasting. I will conclude with three simple but very sobering questions:

(1) Have you accepted God's priceless gift of Love? If you have, Praise the Lord!
(2) If you haven't I would urge you to accept His gift this very hour. Why you ask?
(3) Because "Jesus Loves You" and tomorrow may be too late!
