I believe that answer would be true....because Yahshua will return to complete the Lord's Feast...
He completed 4 Feast with His first coming exactly....Yahweh is a God of complete order, He does not change....
I also believe it will be on a Jubilee Year of the Jews.....
and remember the generation that saw Israel become a Nation in a day will see the return of Messiah....

Carol Swenson, you are probably right that Jesus would come on the Feast of Trumpets, which is part of that September festival, instead of on the Day of Atonement since the Bible says that God comes when the last trumpet is blown:
1 Corinthians 15:52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
So at the Feast of Trumpets would be more likely. So does that mean to you that if the Feast of Trumpets has PASSED in any given year, as it already HAS PASSED this year, that Jesus will NOT come potentially until the NEXT Feast of Trumpets, and that we just don't know WHICH Feast of Trumpets He will come, but that He MUST come on the Feast of Trumpets?

I think that those of us who believe in a pre-trib rapture expect it on the Feast of Trumpets, while those who believe in a post-trib rapture look to the Day of Atonement.
Summary of reasons why Christians expect to see the rapture happen on the Feast of Trumpets / Rosh Hashanna
1. All the Spring Feasts were fulfilled at Christ's first coming, and on the exact day of the feast. All the Fall Feasts picture the second advent, and the Feast of Trumpets is the first of the fall feasts, picturing the rapture.
2. The Feast of Trumpets is when the "last trump" of the rapture of 1 Cor 15 is blown.
3. The Feast of Trumpets is known as the Wedding of the Messiah, and the Church is the Bride of Christ, and the rapture is when the Church is caught up to heaven to be wed with Christ.
4. The Feast of Trumpets happens on the "new moon", which is 29.5 days after the last one, meaning it might occur on the 29th or 30th day, nobody knows for sure. "Of that day or hour no man knows" is an expression referring to this feast, and thus, the rapture.
5. "Of that day or hour no man knows, but my Father only" is an expression used by a groom when asked when his wedding will be. He says this because it is his Father that will tell him when his preparations on the bridal chamber are completed and it is time. Again, the wedding pictures the rapture.
6. The "Open Door" of the rapture in Matt 25, and Rev 3, & Rev 4:1 is a symbol of the Feast of Trumpets. [Ezek 46:1] "Thus says the Lord GOD: The gate of the inner court that faces east shall be shut on the six working days; but on the sabbath day it shall be opened and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
7. We are told that the new moon and the Feasts of the Lord are a shadow of things to come in Col 2:16,17. Since the Feast of Trumpets is the only Feast of the Lord that falls on a new moon, we should take particular note.
8. There are seven days of awe in between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement. These picture the seven years of tribulation. Atonement pictures Satan being defeated and cast away at the end of tribulaion. If you add the two day Trumpets feast, and the day of atonement, the 7 days of awe are "ten days of tribulation" which might be referred to in Rev. 2:10.
9. In the Jewish Wedding, a marriage takes place over a period of time known as the "bridal week". At the end of the week, there is a marriage supper. Compare Judges 14, Rev. 19, and Gen. Genesis 29:22-28 This bridal week will be the tribulation week on earth, while the bride of Christ is in heaven.
10. In the Jewish Wedding, the groom comes for his bride "like a thief in the night" to take (seize / rapture) her away and into the bridal chamber for the bridal week at his father's house.
11. The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the coronation of the Messiah, when he will start reigning as king, thus the beginning of the "Day of the Lord", which includes the tribulation.
12. It is also time for the bema judgment, or the judgement of the works of the righteous, and judgement must begin at the house of the Lord.

How do you feel about the idea that Jesus must come back ON the Day of Atonement. If I'm not mistaken, I think there were 3 festival days that the Israelites had to appear before God:
Passover
Pentecost
Day of Atonement
Jesus of course died on Passover, and on Pentecost the church began.
So presumably Jesus will return on the Day of Atonement. Now, the Bible says, "no man knows the day nor the hour":

A preacher on TV was saying that EVERY YEAR Satan gets more and more paranoid as it gets closer to the Day of Atonement, wondering if THIS Day of Atonement WILL BE THE ONE.
So I wanted to ask, could Matt.25:13 above mean that "no man knows WHICH Day of Atonement" Jesus will come, but that Jesus MUST come on A Day of Atonement?

The restoration of the Jews to the Promised Land is one of the most staggeringly overt fulfillments of Bible prophecy to occur in the last 2,000 years.
The Hebrew prophets all foretold an eventual restoration of Israel, even addressing the future state by name, in some cases centuries after Israel had ceased to exist.
Jesus said, “Learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh; So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till ALL these things be fulfilled.” (Matthew 24:32-34)
In his book, Personal Witness, Ambassador Abba Eban, one of Israel’s Founding Fathers and Israel’s first Foreign Minister wrote: “In accordance with our plan, a letter from [Chaim] Weizmann to [President] Truman had been sent on May 13 asking him to recognize our new state. The expected infant state was still nameless, since the Zionist leaders were still characteristically, arguing over the name (should it be “Judea.” “Zion,” what about the name “Israel”?). Weizmann, for the first time in history, was asking for a nameless state to be recognized....
Although Ezekiel confidently wrote of the restored Jewish state as “Israel” 2,500 years before, those who actually served as midwives to the rebirth did not decide on the name until the very day before!
Hosea said of Israel, “I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time . . .” (Hosea 9:10)
Joel wrote of the northern invaders of Israel, “He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree. . .(Joel 1:7)
In 1948, the fig tree began to put forth leaves, so to speak, and Jesus said that generation would see ‘all these things’ fulfilled.
The Bible said that pivotal event in history would take place simultaneously with the birth of a revived Roman Empire. A unified Europe looks back to its’ foundation as January 1, 1948.
It said an apostate world religion would develop at the same time. Revelation 13:11 describes this religious system as “having two horns like a lamb” -- symbols of Christianity. The World Council of Churches was born in 1948.
It predicts that global political system will co-exist with a global economy. The World Trade Organization -- a trade organization empowered to regulate the global economy -- saw its genesis in the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, enacted by the UN in 1948.
The Bible predicted that global economy will fall under the control of a single individual who will be able to regulate commerce down to the individual level -- “That no man might buy or sell” -Rev 13:17. Such individual control was impossible before the advent of computers.
Although computers had been invented during World War II, they were huge, bulky monsters that used notoriously unreliable and hugely inefficient vacuum tubes. The first computers were slower than a pocket calculator, filled huge environmentally sealed rooms and required enough electricity to power a small city.
That all changed in 1948 after Bell Labs invented the transistor chip, signaling the official birth of the Computer Age.
That final age would be marked by 'rumors of war' - Matt 24:7. The ultimate 'rumor of war' was the Cold War. It began with the Berlin Airlift of 1948. The Soviet collapse was a direct result of the cost of fighting the Cold War.
The ongoing decline of US influence in the world is also related to the costs of that 'war'. The power vacuum left by the simultaneous decline of each of these great powers is being filled by Europe, just as the Bible predicted.
Earthquakes began to show a marked increase in size, scope and intensity in 1948. The modern period of ethnos against ethnos can be traced to the death of colonialism beginning in 1948.
Increasing 'pestilence' or deadly disease, can be traced to 1948. Economic 'kingdoms' began with the first multinational corporations in 1948.
Legislation passed by the UN in 1948 like the UDHR and the UNCPR function today as the legal cornerstones of our developing globalist worldview and the disintegration of US Constitutional guarantees.
The decline in morality -- worldwide -- can arguably be placed at the feet of the current trend of devaluing human life to the degree that legislation permitting abortion and euthanasia are evidences of an 'advanced' society.
The Japanese Eugenics Act -- the first legal abortion on demand legislation ever passed in modern society -- was passed in 1948.
American Margaret Sanger was so impressed with the idea that she founded the premier abortion rights advocacy group -- Planned Parenthood -- in 1948.
Let's not forget the other technological advances introduced in 1948 -- commercial television, holography, cybernetics, meteorology, the nuclear arms race, microelectronics and dozens of other advances that served to demystify the books of Daniel and the Revelation for this generation.
Add that to the social breakdown that followed the ouster of God from American education following McCollum vs. the board of education decision of 1948.
Don't forget the contribution made to evolutionary theory by the introduction of the 'Big Bang' theory of 1948. That served to further alienate the concept of a Creator God from the American worldview.
2 Peter 3:3 warns "that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."
All these things taken in context point to one logical conclusion. This is the generation of whom Jesus was speaking when He said, "This generation shall not pass until ALL these things be fulfilled."

Although the world has always had false messiahs, cults, wars, ethnic violence and strife, starvation, disease, epidemics, and earthquakes, Jesus tells us that as a sign that we are entering into the last days we will see each of these increase in frequency and size. Described as "birth pangs," these "pains" will continue to grow worse and worse, coming closer and closer together, as signs we are preparing to enter the Apocalypse . . .

Earthquakes in Biblical Literature
Earthquakes and other cataclysmic events
often carry theophanic significance in Scripture,
demonstrating God’s awesome power.
At Mount Sinai
the LORD’s presence was indicated by smoke and the
shaking of the mountain (Exodus 19:18; cf. 1 Kings
19:1132; Psalm 68:8; Job 9:6; Habakkuk 3:6).
When the New Testament church prayed “the place where they had gathered together was shaken” and the Spirit’s presence was manifested (Acts 4:31). Paul and Silas were freed when God’s power and presence was manifested in an earthquake (Acts 16:26).
The most unusual earthquakes were associated with the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
When Christ died on the cross, an earthquake shook the temple and rent the curtain of the temple from top to bottom
(Matthew 27:51). No human agency rolled away the
stone that sealed Christ’s tomb; it was the angel in the presence of the earthquake (Matthew 28:2).
More specifically, many seismic theophanies are
manifestations of God’s anger and righteous judgment
(cf. 1 Samuel 14:15; Psalm 18:7,8; Isaiah 5:25; 13:13;
29:6; Joel 3:16; Amos 1:1,2; 8:7,8; Micah 1:3-7; Nahum
1:5,6; Haggai 2:6, 21). The Day of the LORD is the
most elaborate judgment motif of Scripture. That day
is without fail marked by earthquakes and associated
celestial disturbances (Isaiah 2:19, 21; 13:13; 24:18;
29:5–6; Ezekiel 38:19–22; Joel 2:10; Zechariah 14:4,
5).
For example, Isaiah’s description of the destruction
of Babylon has cosmic overtones:
Therefore I shall make the heavens tremble,
. . . And the earth will be shaken from its place
At the fury of the LORD of hosts
. . . In the day of His burning anger. (Isaiah 13:13).
Yet during the awesome shakedown of heaven and
earth, “The LORD will have compassion on Jacob”
(Isaiah 14:1), and all creation will recognize God’sworking (Isaiah 14:3–8).
When Israel is attacked
by the armies of Gog, those armies are demolished
at the decree of the LORD by earthquake and cosmic
hailstones (Ezekiel 38:17–23). Zechariah is even
more explicit about the extraordinary geologic
upheaval in the Holy Land associated with the Day
of the LORD. A final earthquake at the LORD’s return
will split the Mount of Olives, uplift Jerusalem on its
site, and depress the surrounding Judean Mountains
(Zechariah 14:1–10).
Earthquakes are also associated with God’s selfrevelation
in the eschatology of the book of Hebrews
(Hebrews 12:25–29). The author warns his readers
not to refuse to heed the God who speaks as he
spoke at Sinai (“And His voice shook the earth then,”
Hebrews 12:26; cf. Exodus 19:18). The author then
passes through history from Sinai to the promise of a
great cosmic upheaval of the end time (“Yet once more
I will shake not only the earth but also the heaven,”
Hebrews 12:26; cf. Haggai 2:6). God’s ultimate
purpose is to give believers “a kingdom which cannot
be shaken” (Hebrews 12:28) so that the faithful,
having perceived his extraordinary power, can “offer
to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe”
(Hebrews 12:28).
Such passages provide the eschatological backdrop
for the book of Revelation, where earthquakes are
symbols of God’s final judgment upon the earth.
They appear as climactic judgments throughout the book,
producing terror, awe, and destruction among the
earth’s inhabitants. Five earthquakes are described.
These are at the opening of the sixth and seventh seals
(6:12; 8:5), just before and after the seventh trumpet
(11:13, 19), and during the seventh bowl (16:18).
This last earthquake is identified as the greatest ever on
earth (16:18), splitting Jerusalem into three parts
and destroying the cities of the nations.
Although demonstrating the awesome power
and presence of God, these passages do not indicate
an increase in earthquakes in the present age. For
those who follow a futuristic and dispensational
interpretation of Revelation, these earthquakes occur
during the Great Tribulation, not before it. They are
not precursors to the Day of the LORD, but evidence
of its presence.

More people have died in armed conflict in the 20th century alone than in recorded history. There are constant news reports about brewing conflicts around the world, and it always seems that there is trouble on the horizon, specifically in the Middle East. Christ tells us that these things have to happen; these events will set the stage for the coming Antichrist and final showdown between Israel and the world.
Deaths related to famine and disease have increased exponentially in the last 100 years. We see the occurence of new diseases all the time and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.
According to one stat, earthquakes alone have increased in frequency and intensity some 2,000% since Israel returned to the land in 1948.
The alarming increase in hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes and tsunamis (which may more accuraltely be contributed to earthquake activity) since the end of the 20th century have been noted. The death toll due to natural events alone in the last 30 years has been significant.

becauseHElives, it is not so much that there are more pestilences or more violence, because that is just not true. We are living in a very benign period since World War II.
Rather than trying to read the signs of the times by those, the fact that Iran is acting up is much more of a sign of the end times than pestilences or violence which have always been with us and which are actually rather mild right now.
But in Ezekiel, Iran is one of the nations allying itself with the nations that come against Jerusalem, so Iran's nuclear and missile behavior is very important:
Ezekiel 38
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet;
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
Also, over the last 100 years or so, the earth has been divided into nations with firm borders, so that everyone is in their place now.
And also in the year 1830 A.D., the population of the earth first reached 1 billion people, and then by 1930, or in just 100 years, the population doubled to 2 billion, and then by 1976, or in just 46 years, the population doubled
to 4 billion, and now we at 6.5 billion population in 2009.
In addition we are in the midst of a 25% contraction of the world economy, which will put one-fourth of the people, or 1.7 billion people, at great risk and pressure.
In Ezekiel 36 and Ezekiel 37, Israelites began to return to the mountains of Israel, which began in 1948, and now we are probably seeing the start of Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39 in which the nations get ready to come against the mountains of Israel.
And then starting in Ezekiel 40 to Ezekiel 48, Prince Jesus has arrived in Jerusalem.
So the above sign is much more obvious than pestilences and violence which have always been with us, and which have in fact been much worse in the past than they are today.

Frankly, I say this on the matter of Eschatology, it is true that no one knows the exact date save one, and that is the Father; but I do say this, with this world as we know it being like a steam egine hot in train pusing rapidly toward the gates of hell
Psalm 9:17) The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Proverbs 21:16) The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
Frankly, like Edom in the prophecy of Obidiah. All that is left for this current world is for God to extend His mighty hand to snatch down and rip down the haughty exalted hearts, those nations, those people that exalt themself, as far as the judgment aspect goes. And of course, the Great tribulation will be part of that recompense of judgement.

Hello, becauseHElives, sorry to hear about the computer being brought down ... but as to you SIGNS of the times being signs of the end times, actually the period that the world has been living in since World War II has been VERY BENIGN.
There were FAR WORSE ATROCITIES committed in the days of pagan Assyria, pagan Babylon, pagan Persia, pagan Greece, pagan Rome and in the 4 centuries A.D. since the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
As for weather phenomena, in those days there were massive floods because they had no flood channels and no dams.
In those days at the whim of a dictator Emperor or King, thousands of people could be put on the execution list (proscription lists, they called them).
And they had their share of plagues which wiped out millions, like the Black Death in Europe or Typhoid epidemics.
If anything, dear sir, this period since World War II up to right now has been THANKFULLY BENIGN and I thank God for it:

26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They ate, they drank, and they married wives and were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and then the flood came and destroyed them all.
If anything, the relative CALM is a SIGN of the time of the end.
