Matthew 24: 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

In this chapter Jesus speaks of the last days. We can almost daily, weekly watch and witness these signs come to pass before our very eyes. The news is flooded with footage of war, earthquakes, famine..you name it, just as Christ described it it is coming to pass!

In the midst of all of the peril described by Christ in these scriptures, there is a statement of comfort for God's people. Almost perfectly placed vs 6 says: "see that ye be not troubled for all these things must come to pass"

These things must come to pass. He knows what today, tomorrow, next Thursday and next year hold. We can lay hold of the peace that He gives His people and rest assured that all is in His hands. Many of those around us without Christ are very, very troubled. As the word says;

Luke 21:26, "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken"

We as His people can let the peace of God rule our hearts through these troubled times and let that be a witness to a troubled world;

"He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord'' (Psalm 112:7).

Psalm 91:15-16: "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation."

Jesus said "see that ye be not troubled for all these things must come to pass"

~To Him That is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy...to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.~ Jude 24
