I am often frustrated when I speak with people who come up with these intricately designed arguments, sort of a "stump the chump" style challenge, to question the logic or validity of my faith in God. They say that if there is a God, then there is no proof. Ah, but the Bible shows us that there is, indeed, truth. The truth is revealed to all men, as the book of Romans so demonstrates to us:
For God's [holy] wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative.
For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because God [Himself] has shown it to them.
For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification],
Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.
Claiming to be wise, they became fools [professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves].
Romans 1:18-22 [AMP]
The wrath of God will be poured out upon those who can turn their backs and walk away from such a great salvation. And they will be without excuse, because even the skies above our heads declare the glory of our Father in Heaven.
THE HEAVENS declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork.
Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge.
There is no speech nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard.
Yet their voice [in evidence] goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world. Of the heavens has God made a tent for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; and it rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
Its going forth is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the ends of it; and nothing [yes, no one] is hidden from the heat of it.
The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
Psalm 19:1-7 [AMP]
Even a child can receive such a beautifully simple Gospel.
And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them,
And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all].
Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:2-4 [AMP]
Open your heart like a child and allow the love of God to pour in! Don't feel that you are losing your freedom. Realize that you are gaining your eternal satisfaction of life and joy of God's great love for you!
