I do blieve God has given people the gift of Word of Knowledge. The ones that I have seen that prove to be true where not on TV but people who I knew personally, people with whom God had warned them about things that would happen. In each case they were right.
But, we don't fear the future. We are safe in God's hands. We can read the Bible and see that things are going to get worse. We can see it in the Newspaper. But keep your trust in God, He will not fail you.
Jesus is coming soon and what a glorious day that will be. We are looking for the Blessed Hope and we need not fear.

hello. yeah, but it's not just people like Pat Robertson but people like you and me whom God is revealing stuff to.

We should always pray for our nation. Scripture tells us to pray for our leaders as well because it is God who has appointed them (whether we like them or not).
I wouldn't sweat it as far as these so-called modern day prophets are concerned. I got saved through the ministry of the 700 club about 7 years ago.....but I don't agree with everything that Pat Robertson says (he's one example of a person who tries to predict what will happen in the coming year by a so-called 'word of knowledge')
There are so many people who abuse the gifts of the spirit. The prophetic canon of scripture has been closed since around 95 AD (John on the island of Patmos). There are no modern day prophets....if they say that they heard from God and it doesn't come to pass....then they are false prophets....period.
I also don't believe in speaking in tongues.....that can be downright demonic at times....but I wont go there and open another can of worms.
J4J...put your mind at ease.....Jesus is coming back soon. But that's good news for us as christians! Look forward to it my man.....

hello.
man, i'm really feeling this.
as some of you may know, alot of Words from The Lord have been given to many people about the year 2007.
all of which seem to promote some harsh times and the start of the end. Now I know God can't hold out forever but He definately has said we can Pray that these things pass.
More stuff needs to be done. No terrorists attacks, earthquakes, etc...for this year Please Lord!
