Hi, One does not do to "be" saved,They do because they " are " saved. A big difference.

We do have to “save ourselves”, which is accept the gift of God in Jesus that God offers us.
But I was wondering in the other Topics why, if we are all equally declared to be sinners, then how come some sinners can believe in the gift of God, but other sinners cannot believe for the gift of God.
So why can some sinners believe, but others cannot, eventhough we are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God and are all descendants of Adam and Eve?
And at the same time God chooses us and God grants repentance to us, and it is by grace.
And yet it says, “Save yourselves from this untoward generation” and “
2 Corinthians 7
9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance: for you were made sorry after a godly manner, that you might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation[b] not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works death.
11 For behold this selfsame thing, that [b]you sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yes, what clearing of yourselves, yes, what indignation, yea, what fear, yes, what vehement desire, yes, what zeal, yes, what revenge! In all things you have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
