I use to tell the Lord that I love Him all the time without thinking twice about it, but it's different now. It seems that when I say it these days I can hear Him speaking back to me as He did to Peter when Peter said that He loved the Lord, the Lord said to Peter, then feed my sheep.
I am learning that Love is an action word, not only spoken out loud, but acted upon. I think that Jesus was saying to peter that action speaks louder than words.
Jesus said in John 14:21 " He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
The next time you tell the Lord that you love Him listen closely, and see if you can hear Him say, then feed my sheep.
