this thread has the purpose of making known something that seems to have maybe escaped the mind of many.

Biblically, we know "that that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation"..."but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost".

Therefore, EVEN when we read something of Jesus, that is, Jesus without any titling accompaniment, such as Jesus Christ, or Christ Jesus, we can be sure that it is the Holy Spirit speaking, using the words of familiarity and intimacy that only a family member brings.

now we come to the did you know part, concerning Christ Jesus:

the axiomatic obvious:

Those who knew Him called Him Master, house-master, Commander, Teacher- or as we should say "Doctor", Messiah, Kathegetes = A Guide or Leader, the Son of man, the Son of God, "the second man", "the last Adam", Lord, the Lord, mighty Prince or Ruler, Jesus Christ, and Christ Jesus.

the shocking part, you might want to sit down for this,

especially

those of us who have unwittingly addressed "the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ" by the name "Jesus":

The example of demons is to call Him Jesus(Matt. 8:29),
or of His enemies, who irreverently called Him "Jesus".

The name "Jesus"
is the name associated with "the shame"
which He endured in order to "save His People from their sins" (Matt. 1:21).

His People therefore never addressed Him as "Jesus",
but always as "Master" or "Lord".
(John 13:13, 14. Luke 6:46),
and so should all His people to-day;

Certain aspects of reverence noted by the order given in these words:

JESUS CHRIST.

In the combination of these two names, the former is emphatic by its position, the second being subsidiary and explanatory. In the Gospels it means "Jesus the Messiah". In the Epistles it means Jesus Who humbled Himself but is now exalted and glorified as Christ. Care should be taken to note the various readings.

CHRIST JESUS.

This is the converse of "Jesus Christ" and denotes the now exalted One, Who once humbled Himself.

CHRIST THE LORD.

This is the Heb. Mashiah Jehovah = Jehovah's Anointed, as in 1Sam. 24:6. Occ. only in Luke 2:11; and with the Article = the Anointed of Jehovah, Luke 2:26.

May we all be found giviing the Lord His due reverence in our speak, promoting our knowledge and acknowledgment of Him who is "Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come" Eph.1.21.
