I worship my god. I am happy in that. Is it not enough? What is the special use of Jesus?
God must be at least a little better than us. How can a person who steals, murders, commits adultery, cheats, divides the society into many classes as high caste and low caste be god? How a worst person than me, can save me? Can a man who is fallen into the same pit save me? God must be the role model for me.
Blind cannot lead the blind. Jesus Christ is a bridge, who connects the divided human race. Today, in India one particular sect people, who are called ‘high class’, can only become the priests in the Hindu temples managed by government. But, any sect of people can become a minister of Jesus Christ. Are you not unhappy about the partiality among people? Are you not amenable for a brighter India? Are you not inquisitive about this injustice? We sing good songs of patriotism with great meanings like, “Let us say that we belong to one race, Let us say that we have only one leader and Let us say that we live in harmony”. But who can fulfill the above lines?
It is only Jesus, who can be the best leader, to recreate this world of chaos into new. There is a Tamil poem. “Let us sing that there is one tribe and one god”. The poets, who wrote and sang these songs, got their payments and went off. But, the curse called castism is still not eradicated. We have no lack in religious pilgrimage places and ‘holy mountains’. Though we have spent a lot of money in temples, the society is still under bondage.
India was delivered from British dictators by 1947. But, we still suffer from the wretched bondage of many social evils. If a man does possess the mind of Christ he will never hate any one. The Christian scripture promulgates that human unity is very important. But, according to Hinduism, god has divided human race into many castes. Then, how we can be united as one, as long as you practice Hinduism? Why don’t you constructively think to eradicate these poisonous evils from our society?
Bible says, “There is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian nor Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all (Col. 3:11). Bible strictly opposes the castism. We understand the sharpness of Christianity when we read the below verses. Jesus warned, “I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her, has already committed adultery in his heart (Mat 5:28). Whoever hates his brother is a murderer (1 Jn 3:15).
How many Hindu gods can conform to these verses? Today man slays the other man like animals, in the name of religion. Babri Mazjid was ruined before many years. Hindus are trying to build the Ram temple in the same place. Neither of them is meek, because both the people consider that meekness is weakness. In India, many churches were burnt and ruined by ruthless religious bigotries.
But, Did Christians retaliate against them? We maintain equanimity even in this situation. What difference it makes if the church is built in another place. Jesus said, “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them (Mat 18:20). God is everywhere regardless of places like deep sea or king’s palace.
We see in daily newspaper that saffron clothed, bloodthirsty religious fanatics cheating the ignorant public. In the entire world, wars are initiated by religious fanatics. If we need to see ‘peace’ blooming everywhere, every Indian should accept Jesus as his personal Lord. Jesus said, “Which of you convicts Me of sin?” 8:46). No other so-called ‘incarnations’ have told like this. Jesus could only confidently say, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (Jn 14:6). He did not say that He is also the way. Today, daily thousands of Hindus are conspicuously accepting Jesus Christ. What a great joy to read what Jesus told, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you, Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid (Jn 14:27).
What a sweet sentence it is! Jesus can deliver you from your uncontrollable sins, chronic diseases, debts, dangers and the fear about future. “If Jesus would have accepted only the high—class people near Him, He would have told, “Come near to Me, all you high-class citizens”. But He didn’t do like that. He is the seed of equality and impartiality.
