Why do Christians demand dowry?
Demanding dowry is a crime against Christ. We come
across many Christians who are interested in
criticizing people who have the picture of Jesus in
their house walls as idol worship. But these
high-tech Christians with this doctrinaire, go to the
brides parents and claim millions of money as dowry
for their bridegroom'’ marriage.
I have witnessed
many Christians who dont'’ wear even a 'dot’ of gold
ornaments, but mercilessly covetous behind money as
dowry. It this greediness of money is not idol
worship? The covetousness (demanding dowry) is
described as idol worship in the Bible (Col 3:5). The
covetous will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor
6:10). They are modern beggars.
