Why are Christians with sickness?
If a voyager in a ship took a ticket, the food
needed for all the days of the sailing, will be served
in ship itself by the ship management. Without this
cognizance, an old lady was suffering hunger for 10
days. How pathetic is the situation? The woman who
was supposed to have shown the journey ticket to the
concerned authorities and enjoyed the food. Is it
not the ignorance that pushed her to this situation?
The Lord says, “My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge (Hos 4:6). It is really a regrettable truth
that many people who call themselves as children of
God, don’t know what are all the blessings, does God
have for them. There are hundreds of genuine promises
in the Bible about divine healing. Can God be
accused, if they read it without concentration and
absorb nothings for them? God is so anxious and says,
“I have written for him the great things of My law,
but they were considered a strange thing (Has 8:12).
There are people even today who wander for ghee when
they have butter in their hands. A godly man says to
God, Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might
not sin against you” (Ps 119:11). How can a person
who does not know the word, will abide in it? Some
Christians are indoctrinated with traditional
teachings more than the statutes of God.
Subsequently, they land up into complete commotion.
God says, He who despises the word will be destroyed.
But he who fears His commandments will be rewarded
(Prov 13:13). For this reason many are still sick.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Heb
11:6). How shall they believe in Him of whom they
have not heard? And how shall they hear without a
preacher? (Rom 10:14). Some Church leaders suppress
the truth in unrighteousness. Because of this, those
poor believers are affected.
Some believers quickly
forget God, if they have no problems in their life.
Maybe the Lord retains them as sick for them to be in
God. The word of God says that the people who don’t
forgive others cannot be healed (Jam 5:16).
