In the case of Yhwh, you are imitating the underlying Hebrew which had no vowels, so you correctly and adequately say Yhwh.

But G_d is an English word and the Hebrew is Elohim. So why don't you use Lhm for Him?

And, what is your reason again for you avoiding the "o"?
