Hello, sister Pleasemaranatha, nice to have you on this CBBS. You write quote: David sounds so mean and unchristian. We aren't supposed to say or think bad things or want revenge to our enemies....right? So why is this here?
-------------------- My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning. Psalms 130 verse 6
This is neither revenge nor thinking bad things. I think David was just thinking to himself in thankfulness, like, O LORD I just want to thank You that You have caused my soul to wait for You than most people wait for the morning to hurry up and come.
I think David was exulting with the Lord, and in order to show how much he was exulting, he needed something to compare it to.
May the LORD God of Israel bless us in this coming year 2006. I am BORN AGAIN by the Spirit of the God of Israel.

This is THE common mistake, David did not write this, the Holy Spirit wrote this:
2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation (of their own). 2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
To what does the Psalm pertain:
Act 1:16 Men and brethren, this Scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
For my love they are my adversaries: but I prayer. Psa 109:4

I wonder why this is included in the Bible?
