Australia risked losing its national identity as crazy western secularists? by banning Christmas out of fear of offending minority groups, a Brisbane academic said today.
Australia risks identity with Christmas bans, expert warns Xmas Offend Griffith University Professor Wayne Hudson described moves to make the country ?religiously neutral? this Christmas as crazy, instead arguing that Australia should be open to celebrating a range of religious festivals.
In Australia one of the problems is if we don't have Christmas and Anzac Day and things like this, we don't have any culture - we're in danger of losing our public identity, he said.
