Brooklyn, N.Y., Bishop Thomas Daily is shown in New York in this June 10, 2002 photo. In a sworn statement released Monday, Oct. 28, 2002 in Boston, involving the case of the Rev. Paul Shanley, Daily admitted he knew Shanley endorsed sex between men and boys when he promoted him to head St. Jean's Parish in Newton, Mass.
