My Pastor in Channelview said that he believes that the scripture in Revlation where it sees God will wipe away all our tears could mean that God will take away the memory of those we loved that were not saved. This seems harsh at first but when you think about it, it would be the kindness thing God could do for us because we would never be able to help them. The sad thing in hell they will still remember us. They will remember the many times we begged them to get right before it was to late. They will remember the times that they made fun of Christians. He said second to being forever eternally seperated from God, will be reliving every time that the Holy Spirit convicted them and they rebuff Him.
That it is why it is important to pray for our loved ones while they still have time to change.

Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Amen David!

In Heaven we will be in the very presence of the Throne of Glory, and we will see God's perfect love, and His perfect justice.

If the theoretical spouse/relative rejected God's perfect love and sacrifice for them, then they condemn themselves to hell.

John 3:
16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

A Servant of Christ,
Drew

1 Tim. 3:
16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh..

Those who ask such questions fall into the category of those who asked Jesus a similar question. The Pharisees said that a certain woman had seven consecutive husbands, so whose wife will she be in heaven (Mark 12:23)? Jesus answered by saying that they neither knew the Scriptures nor the power of God. The unregenerate mind has no concept of God’s mind or His infinite power. If God can speak the sun into existence; if He can see every thought of every human heart at the same time; if He can create the human eye with its 137,000,000 light-sensitive cells, then He can handle the minor details of our eternal salvation. John writes that in heaven "we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is" (1 John 3:2), so perhaps we will be fully satisfied that God is perfectly just and merciful, and that He gave every individual the opportunity to accept or reject Him. However He works it out, God promises that there will not be sorrow or crying in heaven. Our focus in heaven won’t be on our loss, but on our gain.

Remember knowing Jesus Christ is what we were created for. The first commandment:

"You shall have no other gods before me” Exodus 20:2-3

If we keep this commandment we shall see heaven.

Praise to our Lord Jesus Christ! \o/

I am participating in another thread, concerning Hell...and it made me think of a question to post on this thread.
Many, but not all, Christians believe in Hell...some believe in fire and brimstone, some believe it's more a spiritual torture of being separated from God.
For those of you that believe in Hell and believe it to be a miserable place, this question applies to you.
Let's say you are married to a very kind, loving person. You both die in a car wreck. You go to heaven, your spouse goes to hell.
How do you enjoy heaven, knowing your loved one is in hell? If you answer this by saying you wouldn't marry an unbeliever, then let's say it's a family member that you love deeply.
If your loved one is suffering, while you're enjoying talking to Jesus and having a mansion or golden crown, you know...all the goodies you get in heaven. You are in bliss because you are in the presence of God almighty. Afterlife is great, or is it? Does your brain conveniently forget about your spouse or loved one? Is it as if this person never existed in your mind? Is that a better alternative, even? What do you think happens, and what are your feelings if this hypothetical situation happened to you?
I know I'll get all kinds of answers. I promise to not criticize you, even if I don't like what you have to say. This isn't about debating who is right or wrong, as your own feelings on the subject is right, because they are your own...and that's what I want to know.
