I was watching Jay Sekulow (ACLJ) and he showed a news clip of a case. I think it was about a little girl who brought to class a pop-up book of the Nativity--the assignment was to share a family tradition. The school had to be taken to court before things were overturned. Anyway, the principal of the school--or maybe the superintendent--was quoted as saying:
"Who cares if Jesus was born in a manger?"
After pondering this question, here's why I think it matters...
Christmas is about giving. Families gather on Christmas morning to exchange gifts. Now God so loved the world, he gave us the greatest gift of all--LIFE. This gift of life came to us as a precious baby, and this child grew into a man who was crucified for the redemption of our sins. We can either accept His gift of life, or reject it and die in our sins.
