Have we Thought of Gods Work in Creation?
By Paul Ravenhill

Have we meditated on the fact that God, in the first four days, separated:

the light from the darkness,
the waters above from the waters beneath,
the waters from the dry land,
the day from the night?

These were four necessary steps in the work of creation.

Have we thought of the fact that there must be a similar process in our lives?

Without separation there can be no order or clarity.
Without separation all is confused, in disarray.
Without separation God will not start the work of creation in us!

The process, for us, is not a mere acceptance of God.

The process involves a searching by the Spirit of the deepest areas within.

The process is a separation, many times painful, of the precious from the vile so that the work of God may advance form one stage to the next, until all is complete, until nothing lacks of all that He has proposed:

A NEW creation.

A work which glorifies God alone.

quote:
The process, for us, is not a mere acceptance of God.

When I saw this I had a comparison of acceptance and belief come to mind.

The High school I graduated from has a name for basketball in their classification.
At this present day and time.
Mr. A coaches boy's basketball,
Mr. B coaches girl's basketball.

I "accept" the fact that both Mr. A and Mr. B draw a check as a head basketball coach at my old school.

I do not "believe" Mr. A is capable of getting the best out of the boy's team to continue a winning tradition.

I fully "believe" Mr. B is well able to get the most out of the girl's team and continue winning at a high level.

While I "accept" the fact of the position of both Mr. A and Mr. B.
I only have "belief" in the abilities of Mr. B.

So many accept the existance of GOD,
but don't belive in HIS ability to get the job done.
2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
