Sorry, but as a staunch Christian, I cannot bring myself to open the provided link, in light of the thread title.
As a Christian, I, too have for some time refused to watch the Passion because of the rating. I have revised my stand and watched this clip.
Now I have a new reason not to watch the passion, albiet one I hope to overcome... I don't think I could handle it emotionally. I'm a bit of a weeper when it comes to My Lord's sacrifice.
I do think the rating is justified. By the grace of God, I am a teacher of children at my church and, although they need to know that Christ died for them, I don't think they need to have it presented in such an intense manner.
That being said, this is a film that should be viewed by the pew-warmers and the holier-than-thou Christians (modern-day Pharisees). There are many other venues where this film would be appropriate. For instance, I think lost teens who watch slasher movies, etc. could be reached with this.

Off-topic, but was the sleazy rating given to Mel Gibson's Passion Of The Christ determined by Christians??

because the Passion was rated R for violence when it came out.

Thank you for sharing this. When I see this video, I am reminded how selfish I am. So often my prayers are all about me and mine. I forget how blessed that God would even listen to my prayers. betty
