In Christ is not thru. To be "dead" to our sins has nothing to do with THE SHED BLOOD OF CHRIST.

According to Acts 13:33, verse 7 also refers to the resurrection of Christ, when He was "begotten" from the tomb and came forth in glory. (See Rom. 1:4 and Heb. 1:5 and 5:5.)

Psalms 2:7
NHEB(i)7 I will tell of the decree. The LORD said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father.
My thoughts.
God said this about Christ after His baptism but, thru Christ the Father says this about us as well.
