My honest opinion:
Desiring to receive is based from a fleshly desire (the humanistic side to harvest and hoard, etc.)
Desiring to give is a spiritual based desire (as you are putting others desires above your own. Their good will above yours)
I know as a Christian, when I give someone something freely, with no strings attached, I feel better than when I receive anything.
Our bodies think we know what we want – but only the spirit can truly give us what we want – not just want, but what we NEED.
-------------------- With you I rise, In you I sleep, kneeling down I kiss your feet, Grace abounds upon me now, I once was lost but now I'm found. The gift of God dwells within, To this love I now give in.

Why is it more blessed to give than to receive?
Acts 20:35 I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Why is it more blessed to give than to receive? I mean, I like receiving A LOT, and it always makes me happy when I win $500 in the lottery or when somebody gives me a nicer car than the one I currently have.
Strong's Concordance
Acts 20:35 ... It is 2076 more 3123 blessed 3107 to give 1325 than 2228 to receive 2983.
3107, makarios, a prolonged form of the poetical makar (meaning the same); supremely blest; by extension, fortunate, well-off: blessed, happy (happier).
So what is so blessed about GIVING that it is MORE blessed than receiving?
I mean, am I supposed to FEEL more blessed?
Or, wll God BLESS ME more?
Or, both?
Or, what?
love, Eden
