The best way to know God's will for your life is to ask HIM.

I'm so thankful to know the LORD and the Lord and the Holy Spirit and to have them in my life. It is so wonderful to come home from work and spend time with Them again.
I especially noticed it recently when I went to our family reunion, I was surrounded by non-Christian activities, Scrabble, classic music...I was glad to get home and be with the LORD and the Lord again.
I am thankful to Them for giving me peace and a place to spend my time.
God bless, BORN AGAIN

Walt, Good study. I noticed it said in everything give thanks, sometimes, we think it says give thanks for everything, but there is a difference. Today was a bad day for me, pain wise. I do not have to thank God for the pain but I can give thanks to God in spite of my pain. betty

Christians are always wondering, seeking, and asking
What is God's will for my life?
The best place to start seeking The Father’s will is in His Word
(Unfortunately way to few spend enough time in His Word to really Know Yahweh Elohim and His will, instead they turn to resources outside the Bible, wanting someone else to fill them in)
So what does God's Word say about God's will?
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (16) Rejoice always; (17) pray without ceasing; (18) in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Rejoice (ALWAYS)
Pray (WITHOUT CEASING)
Give thanks (IN EVERYTHING)
I'm going to focus on:
Rejoice (ALWAYS)
Give thanks (IN EVERYTHING)
But a quick note on:
Pray (WITHOUT CEASING)
Prayer isn't just talking to God, it's COMMUNICATION with God, which includes listening. This includes while you are reading His Word
Now on with
Rejoice (ALWAYS)
Give thanks (IN EVERYTHING)
Psalms 32:11 Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.
Psalms 2:11 Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling.
Philippians 4:4-7 (4) Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! (5) Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. (6) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (7) And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Notice the result of our rejoicing always here:
(7) And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Now is when people start coming up with their "buts"
But you don't don't know my circunstances
I lost my job
I lost a loved one
I lost everything in a hurricane
My house burned down
I'm crippled
I was diagnosed with cancer/aids/a terminal discease
My spouse left me/is cheating on me/is beating me
I'm addicted to drugs/alcohol/cigarettes/porn
My son/daughter/spouse/parent is dying/in jail
ect...ect...ect....
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (16) Rejoice always; (17) pray without ceasing; (18) in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
James 1:1-4 (1) James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings. (2) Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, (3) knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. (4) And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
1 Peter 1:1-9 (1) Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen (2) according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure. (3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (4) to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, (5) who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (6) In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, (7) so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (8) and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, (9) obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.
This last verse especially shows the key focal point of being able to:
Rejoice (ALWAYS)
Give thanks (IN EVERYTHING)
God willing: more on this to follow
