Why are churches and christians always trying to look towards programs, campaigns and methods to try to "win people to Christ"?

Messiah tells us clearly what to do:

quote:

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you

quote:
Love your neighbor as yourself
What did Messiah say after the parable of the good Samaritan?
quote:
Go and do likewise

wparr good to see you again, in response to your question...

because they now trust in the flesh instead of the Holy Spirit, educated men with seminary degrees have replace Holy Ghost filled praying men.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sakes.

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power...

WPARR...We, Us, Me, Myself, and I are instructed to go witness, not the Holy Spirit. When did the Holy Spirit witness ? I think it is His choice to assist but it is our job to do the inital introduction. To bring someone to salvation is The Basic Job of a Pastor. His job is to Teach and Preach the Gospel. He will help win some and we will help win some. The pastor is to teach us how to do it. Sometimes the church goverment, deacons, elders get the pastor to doing other projects and teaching what they want taught, and some pastors let them get by with it. Furthermore, pastors are usually not paid well which is why about only 20 percent of them preach after seminary graduation.

I doubt any mans truly being called to be a minister of the gospel that lets money effect their decision, a man truly called of Yahweh will work with his own hands to support his personal needs as the Apostle Paul did if need be so he may preach the word of Yahweh compromised

from my observation in the church today, most of what comes out of seminary are hirelings!
