Psalms 91:1
KJV 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Thomson 1 The praise of an Ode. By David. He who dwelleth under the protection of the Most High shall lodge in the shelter of the God of heaven.

These are my thoughts.
When we are in the places of God then we can have a rest in this life.

Psalms 91:2
KJV 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Thomson 2 He will say to the Lord, "Thou art my helper: my God is my refuge, I will trust in him."

These are my thoughts.
God can protect us.

Psalms 91:3
KJV 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Thomson 3 Because he will deliver thee from the snare of hunters; and tumultuous accusation;

These are my thoughts.
God can deliver us from trouble.

Psalms 91:4
KJV 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thomson 4 with his breast will overshadow thee: therefore under his wings thou shalt rest secure. His truth will encompass thee with armour.

These are my thoughts.
We just have to go to the Lord and He will protect us.

Psalms 91:5
KJV 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Thomson 5 Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night; nor of the arrow which flieth by day;

These are my thoughts.
When we have the Lord we should have fear but faith.

Psalms 91:6
KJV 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
Thomson 6 of the thing which walketh in darkness; nor of mischance and the demon of noon day.

These are my thoughts.
We can walk towards destruction or we can walk after the Lord.

Psalms 91:7
KJV 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Thomson 7 A thousand may fall at thy side; and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not approach thee.

These are my thoughts.
With God many things are going to lie in defeat as He leads us.

Psalms 91:8
KJV 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Thomson 8 But thou with thine eyes shalt observe, and see the reward of the wicked.

These are my thoughts.
God sees what He has to do to the wicked by looking at what they are doing, He is the judge.

Psalms 91:9
KJV 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
Thomson 9 Because thou, O Lord, my hope; hast made the Most High thy refuge;

These are my thoughts.
The Lord is our safety and He is who we should seek in times of trouble.

Psalms 91:10
KJV 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Thomson 10 no evils shall come upon thee, nor shall a scourge approach thy dwelling.\

When it comes to keeping God’s will nothing can stop us.

Psalms 91:11
KJV 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Thomson 11 For he will give his angels a charge concerning thee; to keep thee in all thy ways;

These are my thoughts.
We have God looking out for us He even allows the angels to protect us at times.

Psalms 91:12
KJV 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thomson 12 with their hands they shall bear thee up; shouldst thou chance to strike thy foot against a stone.

These are my thoughts.
This verse is mentioned by Satan in tempting Jesus and Jesus says we are not to test God but this verse means God uses angels to look out for us so that we are kept for His will.

Psalms 91:13
KJV 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Thomson 13 Upon an asp and a basilisk thou shalt tread: and trample down a lion and a dragon.

These are my thoughts.
Everything is under God’s power even the lost but they reject Him being in control even though they don’t realize He is.

Psalms 91:14
KJV 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
Thomson 14 [J] Because he trusted in me, I will deliver him: I will protect him because he knew my name.

These are my thoughts.
God knows us because of love and He loves us more then anyone else could ever.

Psalms 91:15
KJV 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
Thomson 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him: I am with him in affliction: I will deliver him and honour him.

These are my thoughts.
God is there not only to give us instruction but to help us when we call out to Him.

Psalms 91:16
KJV 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Thomson 16 With length of days I will satisfy him; and I will shew him my salvation.

These are my thoughts.
God can give us a long life and having salvation makes it a blessed life.
