We may have a true longing in our heart, of which we are not really aware, because life's trials have it buried somewhere in the deep recesses of our mind for many years.

We can be quite content to go through life without this answer to our need being fulfilled, until one day we may become aware of that empty corner in your heart.. Once that is awakened, a seed has been planted in our mind and all of a sudden it becomes a top priority and longing in our life.

Through scriptures and prayer we can find out if this is God's will for our life. Then our will comes into line with his will. At that point we can prayerfully quote scriptures to remind him that the deep longing must be fulfilled some day. He listens to such prayers because he desires for us to be happy in every area of our lives.

There is a scripture that I have read in the Bible that says that God is looking down on earth to find someone he can bless.

The short answer to your question "is what God wants, really what I want--the true longings of my heart", I believe at times is definitely "Yes."

Does your will have agree with God's will? Surely as servants of Christ, we must submit to whatever is the Lord's will. But to put it another way: is what God wants, really what I want--the true longings of my heart (even though, at the time, I may think I disagree)?
