First of all, if we vote AS Christian, shouldn't our vote be based on God's will and values rather than what we desire, prefer, value or want?

What about "Not my will but Your's be done Father"

Does this carry into ALL aspects of our life including politcal and voting?

Or do we leave God out of politics and voting (as many many in this country prefer)?

Shouldn't it be based on what's best for The Kingdom rather than what's best for America from a secular point of view?

Shouldn't we be concerned about weather our leaders are going to bringing this country closer to or farther from God and His will?

Shouldn't we be voting as Christ would?

Would Jesus vote for the Godless antichrist man Kerry? NOT

(1 John 2:22) Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

Would Jesus vote for the man who says muslums, buddists, and Christians Worship and serve the same God, that will goto a buddist temple and worship Bush?

Nope

God punished Israel many many times for this type of behavior.

That's why I voted the Constitution Pary with a canidate who is firm and strong in his faith.

Brother Martin once stood up on a sultry day in August and declared that he had a dream. One part of his dream was that one day a man would not be judged on the color of his skin, but on the content of his character. I heard the words spoken that day, and they were imbedded deeply within my haert.

The poll question is not really republican versus democrat, but:

"If a christian voted for John Kerry in the last election, do you honestly wonder about their faith in Jesus?"

So many of the poor and elderly voted for Kerry because of his potential to push for more social services. The benefits to them that they might receive.

The social liberal voted for Kerry to secure marital rights for the homosexual, and to ensure the continuation of abortion on demand.

Kerry attempted to bring in faith as a component of his campaign, but it was an area with which he was unfamiliar, and uncomfortable with.

Bush was far nore comfortable speaking of faith and moral absolutes.

The moral center of the individual, and the difference between the faith and values of the two, was why so many Christians voted for Bush.

John Kerry, as a liberal would veto and block any restrictions on abortion. Bush signed the bill outlawing the partial-birth procedure.

Their values would bias their selection of judges, with decades of ramifications.

A man's faith and values should be an intrinsic facet of his character, not an adaptation for campaign expediency.

I don't make it a habit of judging peoples' personal faith based on their politics.

I know people who pofess to be Christians who voted for Bush becasue of their faith, and people who voted against him because of their faith.

Many Christians pick an issue or two, usually abortion and gay issues if one is conservative, or war, the environment and social justice, if one is more liberal, and then sterotype all voters of the other side as being ignorant, bad Christians, etc...

Oh well...

It is sad that people anywhere suffer. Our love for Christ compels us to mourn with those who mourn. This as it should be. And nothing that goes on in the world has escaped his notice. Just as Babylon fell in ancient times, the splendor of Babylon that Saddam Hussein said he was going to rebuild was smashed by The Lord in our time. North Korea will not go unpunished by God long. "Be not deceived, God is not mocked." For now the natural has dictated walking gingerly around Communist China--a nuclear power. When God's timing is right, they too will fall. I always advocate a prayerful approach to voting for those who will rule over us. And on their election, we are wise who pray for our leaders, whether we voted for them or not.

I am a democrat that is against abortion. I am not alone. I am for gun control and I am for the envirment. God told us to take care of the land.
I believe we went to war in Iraq only to avenage the first Bush. Because of this we have lost over a 1,000 people. If we were really concerned about "saving" people we would have done something about North Korea. Even before this war, it was on 60 min about how children as young as 7 were put in prison camps for trying to flee their country because their parents had starved to death. Our Country also had prove that the people were put in concentration camps in North Korea. Why did we care more about the people in Iraq than North Korea? Revenge and oil.
If North Korea had oil, we would have been their first to save the children.
To say that you can't be a democrat and be a Christian is just wrong.

I voted for the very first time in the elections of 1972, and I have never once voted a straight ticket, but rather for the character of the man and which would more represent my values.

In these next four years many judges will be appointed, and as we have seen on many occaisons the Supreme Court is now legislating from the bench. For me it was critical to have a president who would appoint judges who were more pro-life then not. It is critical to have judges who are more representative of my Biblical values, rather than the values which are antagonistic to God.

I would have preferred to have other alternatives, men who are more faithful to His Word, and more pro-Israel, but for this old crusty believer, there was no alternative to Bush.

May our Lord move in the hearts and the lives of His children.
