Good Morning and Happy Tueday,

This morning after I finished my usual chores I have been lazy and just sitting talking to hubby. Just relaxing in the moment. Our lives are like that. Sometimes we have times in our spiritual journey that it seems like we are not making any progress. That we are just going along day after day. When you plant a seed the next day you do not wake up to a full size plant blooming. It will look like there is no progress but under the dirt the plant is growing. Spiritual growth is a daily process and we do not see the growth in our own lives. We live by faith and we trust God that our journey is pleasing to Him. Let is live each day in a way that is pleasing to God. Allow Him to work through us and we will achieve what He wants us to be. Even the world says take time to smell the roses. So as we live our lives don't try to live in tomorrow. Live in today. Enjoy the beauty in today. Look for ways today to shine for Jesus. God bless you today and may you be a blessing to others.

Good Morning and Happy Monday,

As I went around the yard feeding the pets and the birds and squirrels my mind began to go to prayer. Specifically praying for others. Sometimes it is easier to pray for others then ourselves. We see them and think they are more righteous than us and believe they deserve an answer more then we do. Other times it is harder, especially if their need seems pale in comparison to what we are going through. Thankfully God doesn't answer prayer based on our righteousness nor does He pick out which person has the worst need and only answer their prayers. Everyone's prayer is important to God. Some prayers are answered on earth and some are answered in Heaven. Some prayers are answered after we die. My grandmother prayed for her youngest son to get saved for many many years but yet he did not get saved till 20 years after she died. He has passed on now and is in Heaven. When she saw him enter Heaven gates I doubt her first thought was why did it take God so long. I believe she was filled with joy knowing her prayer was answered. When we pray for others we ar blessed and our faith is strengthen. Jesus prayed for us long before we were born.
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me” (John 17:18-21).
What joy it should bring to our hearts that while God was suffering on the cross, He thought of us! So we should count it a joy to pray for others even in the midst of our suffering. We can pray for those we do not even know. For years I have been led to pray when I hear an ambulance siren. It doesn't matter that I don't know the person or the specific need, God does. Lately when I hear a plane go over especially small planes I pray for the pilot. No that does not make me special. I am saying for those who have days we cannot leave the house because of health issues we can still pray for others. Ask God to bring others to your mind today that need prayer. Be a prayer warrior for Jesus.

Have a blessed day. I had a red bird eating and two squirrels fighting over the feeder. I have three feeders in the back yard but they fought over one and then got mad and left, neither one getting to eat. Animals can be like children.

Good Morning! Have a Blessed Sunday,

Though we got a lot of rain, we are blessed not to be flooded. This morning I woke up with the song "Grace like Rain" in my head. As I fed the animals in the rain it did seem ironic. There are often times in our lives when we feel like we are living under a thunderstorm. I have very rarely had anyone speak prophecy over me, but one time a Pastor told me that all he could see over me was stormy weather. The next three years there was much loss and much pain in my life and family, I look back and see how God was working in my life, but during that time there were times I thought I would drown. I would not have chosen to go that path and I honestly could no go through it again, but I see how God used that time to teach me to trust Him. It may have been those days that taught me how to trust God as I live these days of bad health . It may have taken that teach me to be at peace now. All of is have gone through things that we did not understand. The human reaction is normal to wonder why. Yet if God were to show our spiritual growth on a graph we would be able to see that it was in those trying times that we grew spiritually. Physical strength comes through hard work and so does spiritual strength. While a life walking thought gardens with no storms and just the morning dew to water the flowers sounds like Heaven, it would only produce weakness. It is through the wind and the thunder that we learn to trust God.
In the days ahead we as Christians will need to be strong in the Lord. We will need faith to navigate a world that is becoming less tolerant of Christians who believe what the Bible says. We must not be like a sheet hanging from a clothesline blowing with the wind. If we are not firm in what we believe and why we can easily be led astray my popular opinion of the world's standards. Trust the Lord to lead you day by day and reach out to other Christians when you grow weary.

Good Morning and Happy Saturday,

I am often drawn to speak on the burdens that Christ has called us to carry as His children. Maybe it's because mine hits me before I get out of bed. But God has given us all burdens to carry for His Glory and our spiritual growth. Off times we are tempted to pretend the burden doesn't exist. This does not work and when reality hits, we are often slammed by the truth. Accepting your burden is not pretending it away. It is a choice to carry the burden with a spirit of thankfulness and grace. Spiritual growth doesn't happen over night is it takes a lifetime. The devotion I read today talked about how plants grow dormant during the winter and rest. While we carry our burdens daily, God does give us times of rest and reflection. Most of the time we fight the need to rest especially us with ADD. Yet it is in those times of rest and reflection that we draw strength and renewal in Jesus.

Matthew 11:28Come to Me, all those toiling and being burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Don't run away from what God has called you to do and don't pretend that the burden is not hard for you. But embrace your burden and seek God for mercy and grace to carry your burden with joy of spirit and peace in your heart.

This morning is a dreary morning because of the storm. So no wildlife to speak and just a light breeze.

Psalm 63:3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You.

I used to wonder how this could be. How could God's loving kindness be better then life? To me they were intertwined, but they are not. If we are a child of God then when our life on earth is finished God's kindness to us will be multiplied beyond measure. We will be in His presence and what joy we shall experience! The greatest joyful experience we had on earth will be pale in comparison to the joy we will have in Heaven. Not only that but the worst experience we ever had on earth will disappear from our minds like morning dew in the light of God's glory. As we live day by day we get caught up in the daily grind and Heaven seems so far away. If we are not Careful we will buy into the lie that we serve a God who is not interested in our struggles. A God who has lost interest in what is going on down here. God has not gone to sleep and God is interested in our daily struggles. The problem is not God's focus but ours. Instead of daily seeking the face of God we try to accomplish everything on our own. Somehow we have become convinced that being strong is doing it on our own and if all else fails then call on God, as a last result. God never called us to be strong in our ability but to seek Him first everyday and allow Him to work through us. This doesn't mean we will not go through tough times but it does mean we do not have to go it alone. Seek God before you start the day and invite Him to walk with you.

Good Morning!
I had a conversation with a roofer this morning. He saw me putting water out for the postman and garbage men and stopped. We talked about getting a new roof and then he talked about the things he has been through in life and how they led him to God. He said he is doing a roof down the road for a man who doesn't believe God exist. We both thought it was sad. Although my dad was raised in a Christian home he did not attend Church until I was a teenager. His family attended a Church that spent more time telling you how to dress then preaching the Gospel. My mom on the hand was always in Church. She often walked to Church when she was pregnant with me, I thank God for a Christian mom. I remember my mom being a praying mom especially during thunder storms. I inherited mom's fear of storms but I also learned that when you are afraid call out to God. I think the one of the best lessons we can teach our Children is to cry out to God when they are afraid or overwhelmed. This world is not the same place it was in the 50's when I was young. Things change so fast and so many things are happening in the background that will effect us all. America is closer then ever to becoming a Socialist Country. Most people do not understand what that will mean for the people until it is too late. Our faith must be strong and our convictions must be strong or we could easily be led astray. We must get our beliefs from God's Word or we will be mislead by popular opinions. It won't be long until people hold to the convictions that God's Word is true will be labelled extremist who need to be reprogrammed. To stand for the truth of the Gospel we must be strong in our faith so that we can stand firm in the midst of adversities. Ephesians chapter 6 tells us how to be ready for battle. My brothers and sisters, before the rapture we may be in a battle. We need to draw close to God and pray Evey day that God will prepare us for the days ahead.

Good Morning! Happy Wednesday or as Americans say Happy Hump Day!

Several squirrels this morning but no birds. Did see some red bird late yesterday and a blue jay.
This morning my thoughts have been on how the world judges people. If you have a great body, financial success, and power you are thought to be at the top of your game. Even as Christians we can began to judge ourselves by our circumstances. Not only our success but in our relationship with God we can be guilty of defining ourselves. If we are sick, have financial problems, or troubles in marriage or job, then God must be mad at us. We can do that to other people, if we are not careful. If we see a fellow Christian in a time of trial and suffering we can began to wonder what sin is in their life. Yes ! God does discipline His children! But who are we to judge our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Circumstances change from day to day. It is our personal relationship with God that is important. When we see a fellow Christian suffering, pray sincerely for them. if we can say a word of encouragement to them, do so. Be the Christan who a suffering Christian can lean on and not the one who kicks them when they are down. Don't be too hard on yourself either. When we go through trials it is a good ideal to talk to God. Ask Him if we have sins in our lives. Ask Him if there is an area that we need to work on. If God doesn't show either one to be the case then ask God to help is bear our burdens with grace and in a spirit of love. Ask Him to give you strength to carry your burdens. Don't close yourself off from God and others. As one who has suffered depression, I know how easy it is to close yourself off and sink into depression. Do not give satan a victory there . The more satan pokes at you, the more you need to communicate with God. Spend time with God today. Time with God is never wasted. A couple of red birds are waiting patiently for the squirrel to finish eating. I would love to go out and tell the squirrel it has had enough but then I would scare the birds too. Waiting patiently on the Lord that is important for its, too! Like the birds who will be rewarded for their patience so shall we.

Good Morning! Have a blessed Tuesday!

The leaves were falling as a breeze flew the trees. My dog, Bertha, ran in the house . The falling leaves scared her. Yes she is a smart dog, just ask me. HeHe. So many times in our lives God shakes things up in our lives. Like Bertha, we panic. Where is God? Does He not see what is going on in our lives? Yet we understand how a breeze make the air smell nicer and the outside more pleasant. We can smell water that has had no movement and realize how unpleasant it is. Yet we resist movement in our lives. Change is scary. We forget to trust God who knows all. I don't think it is always possible to embrace the changes that come in our lives with thanksgiving. But, let us face it some things God uses to shape us our unpleasant and hurts. Let us praise God for working in our lives. And while we are in the fire let us reach out to others and share the good news of the Gospel. May non Christians look at us and realize while that may not feel a need in their lives for God, may that have to admit that we are sincere about our faith and praise God in the midst of our circumstances. Pray that you will be a willing vessel willing to be used for the Glory of God.

I had some health issues last night so I slept late and then laid in bed another 15 minutes. I was singing this song in my head as I did my morning chores. Many of us thought we would have been finished working for God by now because of the rapture. Our Pastor told us yesterday that Jesus could come at any time, but for us not to become discouraged because it seems if God is late. God is never early or late. We do not know God's time table.. We must not become weary in well doing but keep on working for Jesus until we die or Jesus comes for the Church. Everyday working for God is going to be worth it when we see His Face. We can encourage ourselves in the Lord through prayer, Reading the Bible, and singing Hymns and Praise and Worship songs. As you go about your day ask God to bring opportunities for you to allow Him to shine through you . Prayer for others as you go about your chores. Don't give up on God, He is coming for us soon! But use the time you have to shine for Jesus.

A few squirrels this morning. Up too late to see any birds. They are probably resting. May God bless you and your families. Pray for your lost loved ones. Pray for Israel.

Hubby and I both made it to Church. Did not have any issues until I got home. Praise the Lord. I was thinking earlier, I was raised in Church since I was two weeks old and I am 63. For many many years I took for granted being able to go to Church. Now that it is a struggle evey Sunday to go to Church, I realize what a privileged it is to go Church. We have only been members to our new Church for three months but I am blessed as soon as I walk in the door. Our Pastor believes in teaching the whole Bible. He said this morning that God did not call him to be popular or PC, but to preach the truth. I am hurting now but so grateful to have been in the House of God.

Good Morning,

When I woke up this morning I was dreaming so hard I still feel like I am in a dream hangover, walking around in a fog. Dreams can seem so real, especially scary dreams. There are several dreams I have had many times that even when I am awake they seem like real memories. The devil does that with fears, he convince us that something bad is going to happen and it becomes real in our minds, we can be focus on a problem that will never happen and be filled with fear. My dad's mom was terrified of her house being broken into. All her windows had broom sticks in them and she seemed to constantly worry. She died peaceful in her chair. Such wasted time on a fear that didn't happen. We don't have to live that. Of course we should take precautions, lock your doors. But we can sleep in peace knowing that God is still on the job. Pray for our children but don't stay up at night worrying. Worrying never stopped anything. This doesn't mean bad things won't ever happen to us, but God is with us when they do. We lose loved ones, we get disease and sometimes our children go through times they don't believe in God. Through these times we can become angry and bitter or we can put out trust in the one who spoke earth in to existence. Instead of running from God run to Him. Allow ourselves to grieve over what we have lost( loved ones, our health, jobs,etc), but in our grief cry out to God. Be assured the devil will be there to whisper in your ear that our loses at because God has forgotten us. Remind the devil he is the father of lies.
For today think of the good things in your life. Remind yourself to be grateful and pray for those around the world who are suffering for their faith. Pray for your lost loved ones and friends. Be blessed.
One blue jay and a couple of birds and squirrels this morning . Soon to be off to Church. May God bless you today.

Good morning. Happy Saturday

Mornings are the worse time for me. When I first developed COPD, I soon realized that when I woke up my lungs were uncomfortable from being still and sleeping all night and breathing was more of struggle when I got up. This new disease hits me before I even get out of bed, so mornings can drag me down if i allow. I admit my first thoughts in the morning is often not praising God for another day but wondering why God allows me to be hit with a double whammy every morning . But as I begin to sit at this window every morning and watch nature, I begin to realize that I should be grateful for another day. There is a peace that feels my heart as I stop struggling against my burdens and rest in the peace of God. This morning as I read my devotion from daily bread some things came into perspective. The devotion talked about how God many times takes is down roads that are rugged and filled with potholes. Sometimes we are given an answer in the life while we had to go down these unpleasant roads but other times the answers will not come into we get to Heaven. The more we struggle in the Potter's hands the more painful it is for us. Let us seek to relax into the hands and fight not against Him but be open to His will. There is no easy way to turn clay into a beautiful vase. It is hard work and uncomfortable for the clay. Yielding to the work of the Potter is not a one time thing it is a life time event. There will be times we will fight against the Potter but as we began to yield our lives become beautiful in His hands.

Have a blessed day. Get some rest and take care of yourself. You are important to God. He loved you enough to send His Son to die for you.

Good Morning! Happy Friday!!

The devil likes to wake us up in the morning with discouragement. He reminds before we get out of bed that we we are still dealing with a disease or financial problems, or a marriage that is in difficult times. If we are not careful we can allow the devil to steal our joy before we have even gotten out of bed. We do not have to allow him to do so. We can began to praise God and remind ourselves of the good things God has put in out lives. Through Jesus we can defeat the devil. Everybody has problems. As the Bible says that it rains on the just and the unjust. Yet the devil can convince us that we are suffering unjustly and truth is sometimes it seems that way. We need to remind ourselves the devil doesn't care about is. When he invites us to a pity party it is not because he enjoys our company. He wants to steal our joy and peace.
Our relationship with God is not defined by our circumstances. Nor does what we are going through define our relationship with God. Many great Chrisitans suffered greatly. In fact if the devil never bothers us, that should set off an alarm. The devil isn't interested in a Christian who doesn't live out their faith. It is when we began to work for God and to live for God that we become a threat to the devil's plans. Our suffering is for such a short time compared to an eternity in Heaven with Almighty God. We cannot imagine the joy there will be just being in the presence of God. Let us deal each day with our circumstances in peace and joy. There will be days we will mess up and there will be times that we actually take a seat at the devil's pity party, but when that happens ask for forgiveness and began to praise the Lord. Remind yourself God saved imperfect people and He did not make us perfect when He saved us. Let's try to have more days that we serve God in joy and thankfulness and less pity parties.

This morning I heard a lot of birds singing when I took the bird seed out but so far it is just the squirrels taking advantage of the food. Hubby wants to go out to eat tonight so I am taking extra medication and praying everything will be okay to I get back home. My family shouldn't have to do with out because of me. I am going to put my faith in God and not allow myself to get stressful.

Good Morning,

Last night as I laid in bed, I asked God to help me carry my cross with a good attitude and willingness. Last night it seemed so simple. This morning I woke up hurting which got more intense as I walked around doing my morning chores . I had to remind myself that I had told God that I wanted to bear my cross with grace and not complaining. As Christians bearing our cross for Jesus is a sentiment that we embrace the ideal, but daily caring the cross is different then the sentiment. Carrying the cross is hard work. It is often unpleasant work. We sing the song. "Must Jesus bear the Cross alone and all the world go free.". We cry out "No, I will carry my cross for, God!" But the truth is carrying our cross day by day is hard work. Let's face it , we often want to go back to the cross and pick out a cross that is smaller and weighs less. Yes I want to work for you God, but only a certain cross. A cross that doesn't come with too much pain or I will carry my cross only two days a week . We want to work for God but our terms. God did not call us to serve Him on our terms. Nor does it being any glory to God for us to carry our cross with a grumbling spirit which leads to anger and spite filling our spirit. Working for Jesus with a spirit of grace and love doesn't come easy. We grow tired physically and spiritually. Just as we rest physically we can rest spiritually by going to the One who can refill our spirit with His grace. Don't wait until you fall down but daily seek God's face for spiritual renewal. Admit your weakness and ask God to give you the strength every day to carry the cross He gave you in love and grace. Rest your physical body and your spirit.

This morning I have only seen a few squirrels and a few wasp feeding. A warm day expected here in Texas. Fall seems to be taking her time. I pray everyone has a great day and that God will strengthen your body and your spirit.

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday,

I woke up hurting this morning and my first though was the frustration that this illness will be my companion the rest of my life. I gave into the devil's tool before I got out of bed. Shame on me! I have three illness that there is no cure but the Collageous Colitis is the one that torments me the most. I think it is because only people with the disease understands the side effects that come with it. COPD most people understand to some extent, but people just do understand a disease that keeps you from being able to go to Sunday School and Church on the same day. The reality most of us have a thorn in our side as Paul put it. Maybe it's that coworker who seems to get enjoyment out of pushing our buttons. That boss who thinks it is acceptable to take out his or her bad mood on the workers. Everyday we deal with unpleasant people and things. It is so easy to wonder why God doesn't fix everything. We want a life that is comfortable and peaceful. God did save us to give us Heaven on earth. Yet we look at people who are so close to God that it seems there is a spiritual glow around them. We want that but we do not want to go through valley where they fought day and night to grow spiritually. It's like the old joke "God I want patience and I want it now". We want spiritual growth, we want to shine for Jesus, we just don't want the growing pains that is necessary to get there. The truth just as a plant fights it way through the earth and through heat and storms to grow so must we go through discomfort and pain to grow in to the person God wants us to be. Yes we can stay a baby Christian and make it to Heaven. Yet when we meet Jesus face to face and realize the great debt He paid for our salvation, what shame and despair to realize we made it to Heaven but we're to lazy and unwilling to allow God to work through us developing the person He intended for us to be. God forbid ! Let us open our hearts and lives to God and be willing to allow Him to work through us. Of course there will be times we will want to yell for God to stop, but if we stop fighting and give in to His will, He will turn us into gold. Trust God not only when things are going great but when things are not pleasant. Jesus is worth our best.

Good Afternoon

I got up early and worked in the flower bed. Exhausted but feel pleased to have accomplished something.
Some unpleasant things , but all is good. Living day by day is often a struggle for many of us, and yet we can continue to grow in the Lord. Sometimes we become discouraged and we have doubts, but we can know with out a doubt that God is with us. Discouragement and doubts is not always about our weakness sometimes it is just a reminder to drawn close to God. I need Jesus more and more each day.
I am not giving up on life, even though it is hard sometimes. How can I be used of God, if I give up? Whatever your struggle, don't give up. Keep living for Jesus and working for Him. Stand firm in The Lord, and may we hear ( Well done my faithful servant when we see Jesus! ). God bless you and may your day be filled peace and joy .

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you had a blessed night. I did not sleep that well, but I slept late. I am beginning to lay in bed until 10:30. I used to feel guilty but I have decided to rest my body. This morning I had a family of red birds. Unfortunately my cat laid under the tree to intimate them. She doesn't bother the squirrels who are feasting. But tomorrow when I bring my cat in for breakfast, I am going to make her stay in the house for a couple of hours so the birds can eat in peace. The dog on the other hand prefers to be in the kitchen with me. Which I am thankful for. My husband sleeps much later then me and while I love him (married 45 years). I enjoy my morning time for Devotion and enjoying nature. Yesterday the dog and I were outside and the wind begin blowing leaves out of the trees. The dog was so upset. She could not figure out what was happening and kept running from tree to tree. We can be like my dog. Many times God is using troubles, trials , and sickness for His Glory and we are running around worried that God has gone to sleep. Not sure if He is even aware of our circumstances. Has God allowed our life to spend out of control? Has things got so bad that He can't handle it? We may not say the words but we live them when we panic and spend hours worrying instead of trusting God. It is human nature to worry and fret and God is not shocked when we do. But, how much more joy we could have if we would trust God in our circumstances instead of exhausting ourselves trying to fix things on our own. When we let go and give it to God, He will fill our hearts with peace and worrying never fixed anything. None of us knows what the rest of the day holds for us, but God knows. Let us go about our day with peace in our heart and our trust in God. Be blessed my friends.

Good Morning

This morning I started the day with questions for God. Questions that I may not know the answers until I get to Heaven. My medication is still working only every other day and just like when it started, Sunday's are still a bad day physically, I can't help but wonder why God allowed Saturday to be the good day instead of Sunday. I take extra medication but there is still a lot of stress around getting home in time after Church. Don't get me wrong I am still thankful to go to Church, but I will be glad when the medication can work two days in a row. I know the devil fights us on going to Church but there is sure extra fight against me at the moment. But then I realize how selfish and self centered I am. I don't have to worry if I will be arrested for going to Church or even worse be murdered. So many people around the world don't even have the option to worship with Godly people on Sunday morning. Does it take my suffering to realize how blessed I am? Maybe that is the answer, so many years I took for granted getting up and going to Church. A blessing that I did not realize was truly a blessing. So many things we Americans take for granted. Running hot and cold water in the house, electricity, clothing to wear. Does God ever look at is and wonder how can they be so ungrateful when I have children all over the world who would think that they were rich if they had the little things we take for granted. God forbid but we are often guilty of thinking these "necessities" are owed to us. May God help is to see the blessings we have every day and be grateful. May we take time to pray for those who do without these things daily. And may we carry the cross that God has given us in a spirit of joy and not resentment.

Good Morning,

I practiced what I said yesterday. I woke up hurting so I turned over and slept another hour. I realize I can't stay in bed 24/7 to keep from hurting but sometimes our bodies tell us we need a little extra rest. Unfortunately it is harder for us to recognize when our souls is getting on empty. Many times we realized that after we become irritable and cranky. Our soul and spirit needs to be fed just like our bodies. And while it is refreshing to listen to Christian preaching and singing as we go to work or run our errands we need some time that we sit quietly with the Lord, praying and mediating on His Word. Those of us like me with ADD often find our minds wandering down different paths but that is okay. God knows our minds He knows our affliction. When our minds wander just bring them back into our time with God. He is not shocked or offended. I heard a preacher say one time if he asked every person to raise their hands whose mind had wandered off during a Sermon, that nearly every hand will be raised. So my friends, spend some time taking care of your bodies today and some time taking care of your souls. You are precious to God and He loves spending one on one time with you.

I woke up with this song playing in my mind. It seemed to remind me that I am not defined by my pain. I woke up with sharp pains this morning but as I begin to sing this song in my mind I being to feel peace in my soul. We all carry burdens and we all have family issues but the things the devil puts in our lives do no define who we are. We are children of God. No matter what our burdens are, this does not take away our positions of sons and daughters of the Most High. We must don't allow the devil to convince us because of what we deal with on a daily bases, that somehow we are less important to God. May we learn to be content in our circumstances. God has a reason for everything. He just doesn't draw troubles out of a hat and throw it at His children to see what sticks. We can pray for God to help us endear with grace and love and to use us to reach others in similar circumstances. After all a person who is suffering is more likely to believe we understand when they know we are going through the same thing or at least similar circumstances. We should always pray for healing but if it God's will to heal us in Heaven rather then ion earth, let us not lose heart. Let is serve God with joy in the midst of our circumstances. If we wait until all is perfect to serve God, that day will never come. God bless you as you serve God to the best of your ability today.
Only a couple of squirrels this morning. The trees are still, no wind. My breathing is better now as I find it is as I sit and open my heart to where God wants to lead me. I am sure my post are often boring to many but I do this not to make anyone feel sorry for me. My burdens are nothing to those many of you carry. I pray each morning that God will guide me to post something that will encourage us to continue to work for Him and to look for new opportunities each day to be a service to Him.

Good Morning,

I woke up in pain which got more intense as I walked around doing my morning chores. Now that I am sitting the pain is subsiding and breathing is easier. But all this said, I am indeed blessed and I am grateful. This morning a few squirrels, humming bird, and a red bird. There is a peace in my heart as I watch nature out my bay window. It is now mostly quiet except for a few squirrels. The birds are somewhere resting and even the red wasp are not feeding at the humming bird feeder. Nature rest. We as humans often feel guilty when we rest. Even when we are ill we feel lazy when we take the appropriate rest the body needs. God doesn't want us running around like a chicken with her head cut off, accomplishing nothing but exhausting itself. We can over extend ourselves doing stuff for God. Better to accomplish something with a rested body and soul, then to over extend ourselves so that we are so busy that our heart is not in our work. Yes, Jesus wants us to work till He comes back, but He does not want us to say yes to every request so it becomes all about how much we are doing and not about allowing God to work through us. Pray before saying yes to every opportunity. Make sure God is in what you agree to do.
Get rest and take time to eat. God knows our bodies need fuel and rest. Then when you are at peace with what God has given you to do, do it out of love and joy and not out of obligation. There was a time many years ago when I actually though I was doing God a favor when I went to Church. How arrogant, I was ! God in his mercy did not hit me over the head with a board to wake me up go the truth but gently He begin to let me see that attending God's house was a blessing that God extended me. Now I have an attitudes of gratefulness when I am well enough to attend. Let us approach each day as an opportunity to do something for God. It doesn't have to be something big. And encouraging word to the waitress who serves you, a smile to the person who checks you out. I have found when I see a person who looks like they have been through the wringer that an encouraging word can change that persons's outlook. Speak to that lonely man doing his shopping. Just saying hello and asking how they are and listening when they say can remind them people care. When you see a lady who looks dejected find something to compliment her on , whether it is her purse or her outfit. A kind word can remind her that she does have self worth and people care. These action cost you no money only a few minutes of time but can be a blessing to a stranger. When you leave the house, ask God to help you see those who need a word of encouragement . They are out there if we look.

I had a little over 24 hours free of GI issues only to be awoken by my body at 5 this morning reminding me the disease is still around and the fight is not over. First feeling was pity for myself and frustrating knowing today could be a rough one. But God reminded me I am not alone. Though the pain is still mine to bear along with other issues I can take joy that God has not forsaken me. Many of us struggle with physical issues and daily pain. It is easy to become overwhelmed and focus not on God but our daily struggles. It is easy to feel useless when we cannot even leave the house because our body is fighting against itself. Yet we do not have to be useless. We can always pray for others. Often it is the stillness as we try to cope with our on situation that God will bring to our hearts and minds and others that are struggling and we can take time to pray for them. As we begin to pray for others our own hearts began to fill up with peace. We can find joy in the Lord in allowing ourselves to be used by Him even in the midst of our own pain and sickness. We are not alone. God has prayer warriors all over the world. May we always be open to be used as one, even in the midst of our own suffering.

This morning three squirrels and one red bird. The squirrel closest to the house looks in my eyes as he or she eats. The squirrel has learned that I mean no harm to it. Yet sometimes we as God's children we wonder if our disease took God by surprised or is He punishing us for some reason we do not understand. Should we not be trusting like that little squirrel? God is not wringing His Hands confused about our illnesses. Illness is not a punishment but we may not understand why to we get to Heaven, but we can trust Him and just as that squirrel knows I mean it no harm, we can know that God is not harm us. We can trust in the midst of everything. Having a sweet spirit during the midst of disease or other trials is so much better for is then hiding behind diistrust and anger. Have a blessed day.

After I fed the animals and the squirrels and birds and took a drink out to the mail person, I came back to the house in pain. At first frustrated, but realized that I should be grateful that I can walk and still do my morning chores. God is good! This morning, we have two squirrels and several types of birds eating in the back yard. I don't know how many in front yard. We had to move the bird bath to the front yard because the cats were laying under the bird bath to aggravate them. Taking the car to put in shop today because of the wreck we had last Thursday. Thank God our insurance covers a rental car. Going to try to get a few more things done today but going to pace myself so I don't have a breathing issue. Have a blessed Tuesday.

A family of red birds and about half dozen squirrels. I feel better mentally and emotionally today though still weak physically. Doctor said it might take two months for the medicine to get the disease under control. Quite ill yesterday so that attributes to the weakness this morning.
I am still walking and getting around and I know God is good!

This morning I woke up feeling hung over from the misery of yesterday. I understand my husband has issues with anger from his stroke but why can't he understand that I have two disease that get worse with stress. Between breathing issues from the COPD and double flare ups with the collagenous colitis I feel weak and emotionally drained, But God reminded me of the song "It is well with my soul". I cannot control what is going on in my own body but I can rejoice that it is indeed well with my soul.

I had a chubby squirrel, blue bird, and red birds feeding this morning. I made it to Church this morning, the first since my surgery. I had to get in my gown and take a pain pill as soon as I got home, but so worth it. A great service. We had 7 people saved this morning, including two couples . Great to see people starting a relationship with Jesus. Even with the pain and discomfort, I am so blessed to be able to have been able to worship with fellow believers.

Good Morning! Two blue jays and two red birds this morning. I put some water in an extra cat food bowling the birds drink and bathe in it. I need to remember to change the water often. No humming birds but I did stay in bed till 11:00 this morning. A few red wasps taking advantage of the sugar water. I have a couple of lizards, on the humming bird feeder. I don't know if their long tongue can get sugar water out but they sure tried.


Morning started off frustrating. Water spilled in the kitchen and some animal knocked over the bird feed storage container all over the back porch so I had work to do before my morning coffee. But I settled myself down and forced myself to relax. It took me may years to realize I could do that. We often allow ourselves to be controlled by outside circumstances. A person cuts you off on the road and instead of saying jerk and moving on we allow this person to affect our move for hours. If we are not careful we can pass the bad mood onto everyone we come in contact with. While it is easy to rationalize that we deserve to be in a bad mood, we don't realize that we have allowed a person who doesn't even know us control us.
We can choose to settle ourselves. We can choose to think of something pleasant and put the bad incendent behind us. We can choose to be in a pleasant mood, I said pleasant mood because good mood doesn't come at once. We let got of the bad, we concentrate on pleasant things and before you know we are in a good mood.

I now see a squirrel and one red bird bathing and one bird feeding. I can't give myself a pain free day and I cannot even promise myself a day with out problems, but I can choose to focus on the good things. Looking for the smallest thing even if it is just watching a lizard attempting to drink out of a hummin bird feeder.
May God bring you many moments to make you smile today.

Good Morning. Watching a family of red birds at the feeder. The cat and dog is lying on the ground watching them. Grateful that my pets are content to just watch. My pain level is worse today but taking comfort that God has a reason for everything and that trials bring spiritual growth.

People talk every cloud has a silver lining. It might be true. I never appreciated nature as much as I do since I have been handicapped by diseases. I am forced to sit for at least 30 minutes after doing my few morning chores. This gives me time to sit and look outside . This morning only two squirrels but enjoyed the divas of th bird kingdoms fighting over the humming bird feeder. 4 places to feed on each feeder but two humbling birds fighting over the same spot. I laugh inside at them, but I wonder how often I insist on my way when God has another much better plan for me. Do I miss out of something better because of insisting on my way? May God open my heart to accept His will and not insist on my will.
May God shine in the life of every member of this board and bring joy and peace into our lives . May we know when need to fight for something and when we need to let go and trust God for something better.
