Ed and Debe are in residence here at the lake. Ed has been receiving cancer treatments. At midnight the ambulance called and requested assistance to their home. Assisted with gurney and transport staging. Ed had the pallor, and he passed away in the hospital. Debe called and I went in and picked her up from the hospital, and we were able to share, and I shared some of my own grief experience, and how my Heavenly Father has sustained me through the last year, and how faith in Christ assures us of our Home-going. I volunteered to sit up if needed, and told her to call me immediately for any reason. Just as I was opening the door to leave I asked if she would like me to pray with her, and she said yes. I gave her one of my hugs and prayed for her. I am waiting up to call two of her best friends to let them know as soon as it gets light.
Dear Father God we pray that You would hold Debbie in Your Hand and in Your love, that You would draw her near, hold her close, and minister comfort, peace, strength, and an ever deepening measure of faith, that You would minister in every area of need, and guide her gently through the hours and days ahead, according to Your perfect will and eternal love for Your precious children, in Jesus' Name we pray. Thank You Abba, Father.
