I agree, not only will it bless each one that is reading through the bible but I believe it will bless the Church body in a whole as we are all on the same page, so to say.

I believe it is a wonderful spiritual discipline to read and meditate on God's Word everyday. The goal we have together of reading through the Scriptures this year will help us establish this habit of reading the Bible daily. I think it will effect us spiritually in ways we know not.

The following 7 Rules of Bible Reading may be helpful:

1. Faith and the Holy Spirit are necessary for proper interpretation.
2. The Bible interprets itself.
3. Understand the Old Testament in light of the New Testament.
4. Understand unclear passages in the light of clear passages.
5. Understand words and verses in light of their context.
6. Understand historical passages in the light of doctrinal passages.
7. Understand personal experience in the light of Scripture.
