My study of other faiths is limited, but I do know that Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, not the Christ as Christians & Messianic Jews believe.

The Qur’an for Moslems is the supreme ordinance of God. They believe it supercedes the Torah and the Gospels, which it also defines as “the ordinance of God” (Surah 3:83; 4:136, 163; 5:46; 15:9). For Islam, the word of God is a progressive revelation with the revelation given to Mohammed as the supreme revelation. Mohammed therefore is the seal of the Prophets. However, even though the Qur’an claims the ordinance of God is not corrupted and will not change (Surah 10:64), the Moslems claim the Torah and the Gospels have been changed. Jesus is the Messiah to the Jews, and the spirit sent from God, miraculously born of a virgin, and that He is God’s messenger (Surah 3:45; 4:171), but He is not considered the Son of God nor is He deity incarnate, so herein lies the problem/conflict for/with Christians.
The Qur’an likewise teaches that the followers of Jesus are exalted above the followers of the Torah alone in God’s eyes, and those who keep the faith and do good works, God will gather unto Himself until the Day of Resurrection (Surah 3:54-57). The Torah and the Gospels are the ordinance of God, therefore if any deny them God will sternly punish (Surah 3:2-5). According to the Qur’an Torah observant Jews and Gospel obedient Christians are right with God and have His revelation (Surah 5:68), and if any deny the revelation of God they shall be counted among the lost (Surah 10:96), yet today they themselves are taught to deny the Torah and the Gospels. Those faithful to Torah or the Gospels (en-jil) are the people of the Book. In fact, God commands Mohammed, that if he or the people of Islam have any doubts concerning these things, they are to ask the people of the Book (Surah 10:94).
Contrary to their conditioning, the Qur’an contains contradictions both within itself and with the practice of some types of Moslems. Unbeknownst to some Christians, there are a few different types of Moslems (Sunnis, Shi’ites, Sufis, and more). These differences are controversial between them, and have caused much debate and even war, but if you are a non-Moslem they are as one and you are as none! For example in the Qur'an, Noah has a conversation with Abraham, yet historically they lived centuries apart. The Torah is God’s ordinance which cannot be changed and is not corrupt, yet for them it is Ishmael that almost was sacrificed by Abraham. Jesus is the Prophet of God and a Prophet cannot lie, yet Jesus claimed to be the Son of God for which the Jews wanted to stone Him, yet God cannot have a son according to the Qur’an, therefore Jesus either lied (yet He can’t) or we added it in. But if He lied then the Qur’an cannot be true because the Prophet of God cannot lie…if He lied He is not a prophet yet the Qur’an says He is a prophet so they conclude we must have made this addition. The Bible (Old and New Testament) teaches Messiah is not just for the Jews but for the whole world, but they say He is not, yet the Qur’an teaches Torah and Gospels are the revelation of God!?!
The Qur’an teaches that suicide is the absolutely unforgivable sin, and that if any commits suicide they are sent directly to hell, yet they teach their children and their women to be suicide bombers claiming this form of suicide as martyrdom. They get around this by what they call "abrogation." Abrogation is a process where if a Scripture contradicts the teachings of the Imams, according to their view of the Qur’an through the Sunni or Hadith (the commentary of the Califs), they simply can assume it is misunderstood or eliminate it from consideration. They allegedly adopted this process of "abrogation" (or justify it) from the Roman Catholics, who they claim did this in times past wiihtout rebuke.
They are strictly forbidden to make deals with infidels and unbelievers. Yet they make deals with the Soviet Atheists while slaughtering 1,000's upon 1,000's of Christians and Jews. The list goes on an on.
Though there is a large moderate population who prefer to live in peace with their neighbors, there is also a growing conservative/fundamentalist number being persuaded in the Wahhabist view, that believe it is their "manifest destiny" to take over the world for Islam. They preach you must submit to Islam or die yet the Qur’an only calls people to submit to Allah (allegedly the one and only God of Abraham). If you look around the world you see Islamic terrorist attacks in Indonesia, the Phillipines, the Balkans, India, Nigeria and Sudan, and elsewhere. The current emphasis on the U.S. and Israel is just the necessary scapegoats for their propaganda machine. Every successful propaganda machine needs a scapegoat. Hitler had the Jews. The Klan had the African people brought here against their will. Modern America is slowly creating a picture to turn Bible believing Christians into the scapegoat here. Almost always in todays night time and prime time television, if there is a Christian written into the plot, they are almost always the perpetrator, pervert, conman, etc.
President Bush mistakenly said that Islam means peace, but this was an error. "Islam" means to submit, but it refers to submitting unto God not to Islam! Submitting unto God is what Islam means, not submitting unto Islam.
So is Islam a peaceful religion? No! What they mean by peace, when they use this language, is when all the world’s population are either Islamic, enslaved under Sharia Law, or else dead. This is the current Islamic political notion of peace. So is Allah the God of Abraham? Hmmm! I think not! Originally Allah was the moon god in their pantheon of gods.
Modern day Islam changes history, and brainwash their children with the rewritten story, even in the face of confirmed history and archaeological discovery. They say Jesus of Nazareth was not crucified, and the gospels at the time of Mohammed were not those we have today, yet history and in some cases Archaeology proves they are mistaken, so they must resort to revisionism of these confirmed facts. They desecrate the Holy Sites of Christians and Jews and make them their own, claiming it was we who stole them from them, and renamed these original Islamic sites.
In their political view, all the world is already theirs, therefore they are just taking back what they deserve to occupy and control with Sha’ria Law. Jesus didn’t die on the cross and therefore He was never resurrected, and therefore never ascended. Instead someone who looked like Jesus was killed (birth of the "twins theory"). Allegedly, Mohammed did however ascend directly into paradise from the Temple mount in Jerusalem (yet we know he died and even historically knew of his grave in Medina for centuries). This doctrine was not in the Qur'an yet it is adhered to. Again they assume this dogma andf the authority to impose it based on the dogma of the Roman Catholic Church and later the Orthodox that Mary was bodily assumed into heaven. Finally, there never was a second Temple, and as for Solomon’s…well he was a Moslem of course…this is proof of their claim to the Temple mount. Finally they teach that Jesus is coming back to judge the world including the Christians who preach He was the Son of God and all these shall be condemned. Thus as much as Christians or Jews do to promote real peace, the leaders of Islam are allowed to say whatever they need to (even lies or what have you) to achieve the cause of ultimate Islam which is world submission to Islam. They desperately need our prayers, our witness, our love, our martyrdom, and God’s offer of grace. Keep the Faith! In the end we know that they will be gathered one last time in the valley of Meggido to annihilate the People of the Book and those who trust in it and in the God it proposes exists. It is then that He retrurns and lights down on the Mount of Olives and consumes those who oppose His Christ, so be patient, occupy, and prepare to endure, and if you lose your head for the Testimony of Jesus and His words, be of good cheer because He has overcome the world.
