WildB, there may be another reason for the PTSD.
I was reading the account of the war between the 4 kings from the east and Abraham in Genesis 14. Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations , in quelling the rebellion of Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, took Lot and all the other people of Sodom into captivity.
The eastern kings had made subjects of these 5 kings 14 years earlier. Maybe it was then that Abraham started training his 318 servants for war. Whatever the case may be, Abraham armed his men and led them in the slaughter of the invading armies.
Now, here's an example of a militia made of peaceful men forced to slaughter other men. They were not used to the horrors of war, and they had done things that were completely incompatible with the life of a peaceful man. How could they ever really justify their "barbarian" actions?
Well, right after the war, Melchizedek, priest of the Most High God, brought bread and wine. It's almost like he was having communion with them.

Thus, God had His priest come and put all that bloodshed into context. God had delivered those enemies into the hand of Abraham.
Today's army does not have a chance of hearing that kind of comfort if chaplains aren't allowed to minister in the name of Jesus, high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Obama’s Military Begins Implanting Cybernetic Microchips In Soldier’s Brains To Treat PTSD
Have you been noticing that, over that past few years, military diagnosis of PTSD has skyrocketed? Do you know why that is? So they can justify using the US soldier as the guinea pig for launching microchip implants in humans. Under the guise of treating the all-covering diagnosis of PTSD, the Obama administration has instructed the Pentagon to begin the process of microchipping the brains of soldiers. Watch for diagnosis of PTSD to increase 1000% past the current all-time high to justify mass microchipping.
