Let us not forget the Rome Statue of the World Court (aka International Criminal Court), which makes itself sovereign over any individual nation's own legal system. And which is now in power and still being ratified, or confirmed "with many" nations (Daniel 9:27).

The Treaty of Rome... isn't that where they've divided the world into 10 sections? Hummm.... [Wink] I was looking for a link to that earlier today but couldn't find it.

Yep, the Iron and Clay part of that statue appears to be here now and the Rock (Yeshua) will utterly destroy it with his second coming! [clap2]

Who is the "Little Horn"? The "original" one was Antiochus Epiphanes (ruled from 175-163 BC) under whom all the prophecies of Daniel 11:21-35 were accomplished. He and the "Little Horn" to come are both prophecied in Daniel 11:36-40a, although v.36b can refer only to the antichrist as the "time of wrath" is a definite end time event. Verses 37, 38, and 39 seem to be the transition from the "old" to the "new" as they are a description of what Antiochus Epiphanes did and most likely refer to the "Little Horn" to come. Verse 40a is the clear transition point in the prophecy. While Rome did not, in the end, allow Antiochus to campaign against Egypt, it did allow Egypt to attack the southern borders of Syria in order to recoup the financial losses caused by Antiochus' earlier attack on Alexandria. Verses 40b-45 are clear prophecies of the end time "Little Horn." When we come to the statement, "...and the King of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships," we can say with certainty that the prophecy has left Antiochus behind and is now focused on the end times. The conclusion may well be that the "Little Horn" of the end times will be a "resurrected" Antiochus Theos Epiphanes (as he called himself)- some one born of the old Selucian empire who rises to power and prestige in the region and world. This is the one who will stand in the new temple, as Antiochus stood in the old, and declare himself "God" and defile the temple as Antiochus did - and worse.

To all:

Everyone seems to be grasping at straws. Daniel is however, tied to Revelation. Yet, I know of no scriptural teaching that says the Roman Empire, the Roman empire will ever be revived again. It is destroyed by the fifth kingdom, which is carved out of the mountain (Zion) that is not made with hands. This was Christ's kingdom that appeared and crushed the image into dust, and the wind (Holy Spirit) blew it away. The horn comes out of the 10 horns of the great and fearful beast, which is the Roman Empire. It has 10 horns (provinces) that rule its kingdom. The Kingdom of Christ will grow until it fills the entire earth. Then it states, this kingdom will endure forever.
Could you be looking for something that is never going to take place?

I'm not going to dismiss the papacy as the answer but it just seems too easy to hop on the Catholic bashing bandwagon.
But it could happen, especially as the Catholic Church has made strong overtures to allegiance with israel. That would be the treaty.

But I dont think this particular pope would be the guy. Maybe another in the coming years with a bit more charisma.

We'll see.

But my guess is Christ will be coming within the next hundred years.

Here's another theory on the AntiChrist. I got this from the following site:
Prophesy

THE ANTICHRIST BEAST OF REVELATION 13

-------------------------------------------------

The following lesson is one of the most important in the Bible. Who is the Antichrist Beast? What does it represent? How can we be sure we are not deceived by it?

The most serious warning God sends His people in the last days is found in Revelation 14:9,10, "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb." All who worship the beast, or worship its image, or receive the Mark of the Beast will be lost. We know that God loves us, and if He has sent such a serious message, He has also made it abundantly clear who and what this beast represents. It is a life and death matter.

In Bible prophecy we are dealing with symbols, and therefore all things must be correctly interpreted. Second Peter 1:19 tells us we have a sure word of prophecy. "We have also a sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts." No guessing, no speculating, and then verse 20 says no prophecy can be "privately" interpreted. "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." The Bible must be its own interpreter. With that background we can safely go into this critical subject. Let's go to Revelation 13 and read about this beast power God has warned us about. Revelation 13: 1-3, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Now this is a strange beast! Is this a literal animal? No, it's symbolic, it represents something. The Bible tells us what it is. Let's get the Bible interpretation of each part.

First it comes from the water or sea. What does water symbolize? In Revelation 17:15 we get the answer. "And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the ***** sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." The sea always symbolizes many nations of people that speak different languages.

Now what about those other strange parts? The body of the leopard, feet of a bear, the head of a lion, and the 10 horns? We must go to the book of Daniel in the Old Testament to understand. Daniel and Revelation explain each other. You cannot understand either book without the other. Keys are in each. So we will spend a little time in Daniel, and you will see something amazing when we go back to Revelation 13. Let's turn to Daniel 7. Here we have another prophetic vision. Daniel 7:2,3, "Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another." Remember, "water" or the "sea" represents multitudes of people.

Then verse 3 says, "Four great beasts came up." What do beasts represent in prophecy? The answer is in verse 17, "These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth." Then verse 23 says, "Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces."

That means the first four beasts represent the first four kings and their kingdoms.

We still follow this practise today-animals representing kingdoms. There is the American eagle, the former Russian bear, the Japanese dragon, etc.

God says then that four kingdoms will come up. And it's a fact today that since the days of Babylon when Daniel penned this book there have been only four world kingdoms. Let's look closer.

FIRST KINGDOM

Daniel 7:4, "The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it." Who was the first world empire? Babylon, represented by the king of beasts. Wings, in prophecy mean speed (Habakkuk 1:8). Babylon began to rule in 606 B.C.

SECOND KINGDOM

Daniel 7:5, "And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh." Here is the second world empire of Medo-Persia, "raised on one side." It came up as a joint empire, however, the Persians were stronger than the Medes. The three ribs no doubt symbolize the three Babylonian provinces it conquered of the then known world-Babylonia, Egypt and Lydia. Medo-Persia ruled from 538-331 B.C.

THIRD KINGDOM

Daniel 7:6, "After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it." In 331 B.C. the third beast arose. It had four wings representing double speed, a fitting expression of the swiftness of Alexander the Great who quickly conquered the world. The four heads represent the four temporary kingdoms after Alexander's death, divided by his four top generals. To the North went Lysimachus; to the South, Ptolemy; to the East, Seleucus; and to the West, Cassander. Greece ruled from 331-168 B.C.

FOURTH KINGDOM

Daniel 7:7,"After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it: and it had ten horns." The fourth beast was strange, Daniel had never seen anything like this! He knew a lion, leopard, and bear, but this was unique! The dreadful iron kingdom was the fourth (verse 23), Rome, who ruled from 168 B.C. to 476 A.D.

What about the ten horns on this fourth beast? Let's see what they represent.

Daniel 7:24, "And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings." The 10 horns were 10 kings. We discovered that in a previous study. When Rome fell, it divided into 10 parts as the Barbarian tribes swept in. Those 10 tribes were the Alamanni (Germany), the Visigoths (Spain), the Franks (France), the Suevi (Portugal), the Burgundians (Switzerland), the Anglo Saxons (England), and the Lombards (Italy). Three are gone, the Ostrogoths, Vandals and Heruli. To find out why they do not exist let's read Daniel 7:8, "I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things." Suddenly there comes up another "little horn," or little kingdom.

These three kingdoms were destroyed by another "little kingdom" arising. Now, who is the little horn? If you really wanted to know, you could ask your history teacher and he could probably tell you what kingdom destroyed the Ostrogoths, Vandals, and Heruli. But we're going to discover a lot about the little horn as we go on. You will see that this little horn kingdom is the Antichrist power-the same beast power God warns us about in Revelation 13.

Now we must be very careful and clear in identifying this little kingdom and power. And God has done just that. In the next few verses God will give us ten marks of identification as to who this power is so we won't speculate, or guess at all. He makes it so clear that there is no room for speculation. God gives ten marks and these nine apply to no apply to no other power in history but one. So we must accept these ten points. We will list these points below so we can see it's God's words. I know we all love God's words! God's words however are not always flattering! Sometimes they are as sharp as a two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). But we must accept truth, sweet or sharp, it's all given in love.

TEN IDENTIFYING POINTS

  • 1. Daniel 7:8. This power comes up "among them." So now we have it located geographically. The other 10 horns were in Western Europe. So if it comes up "among them" it would have to be a little kingdom that comes up somewhere in Western Europe.
  • 2. If it came up among them it had to come after the year 476 A.D., because 10 kingdoms were not there till 476 A.D. After Rome, the fourth beast fell.
  • 3. It would be a "little horn" verse 8 or a "little kingdom." Not a big empire like the others, but a little one.
  • 4. Daniel 7:8. "It uproots three kingdoms." We already established that the Ostrogoths, Vandals, and Heruli were these three kingdoms.
  • 5. Daniel 7:8 (last part). It has a man at its head and this man speaks for it. Unlike the other horns.
  • 6. Daniel 7:24. It was "diverse" or different. How? He would not only be a government like the others, but different from any system ever before.
  • 7. Daniel 7:25. It would speak "great words" or "blasphemy." Revelation 13:5 says "great words and blasphemy." Let's get two Bible definitions of blasphemy. John 10:31-33 says blasphemy is when a man claims to be God. Mark 2:5-7 says blasphemy is when a man claims to have the power to forgive sins. So the "man" at the head of this kingdom would do this.
  • 8. Daniel 7:25. He would "wear out the saints." This power would fight against God, against God's people, and be a persecuting power. God's people would be martyred and slain by him.
  • 9. Daniel 7:25. He would "think to change times and laws." This power would think and try to do away with God's holy times and laws. That can't be done, but this power would "think to" and try to change them.
  • 10. Daniel 7:25 tells us how long it would rule. It would rule for a "time, times, and dividing of time." Now that's a prophetic term. The Bible tells how long it is though. Compare Revelation 12:14 and 12:6 and it equals 1260 days. That means time is one year, times is two years and the dividing of time is a half a year, the total is three and a half years. How many days are in three and a half years using the Bible calendar of 30 days to a month? Twelve hundred and sixty days. Now here's another key of prophecy. Remember in prophecy we are dealing with symbolisms. A "day" is also symbolic. It is symbolic of a year (Ezekiel 4:6, Numbers 14:34). Whenever God spoke prophetically as in these texts, the day for a year principle was followed. This is only in prophetic Scripture. So this power will rule 1260 days or years.

Now we have ten points. All these came from the Bible alone!

You can probably guess who it is already. The fact is that there is one and only one power that meets these 10 requirements. God is precise. However, God also wants us to realize He is talking about a system, not sincere people who may be a part of the system. Truth is not against sincere people. Truth is against error. God does not intend to hurt anyone. He loves us and gives these ten points so we will not be deceived. It is indisputably clear that these points apply to one power only in the history of the world, and that is the Holy Roman Empire, the Vatican and the Papacy. Now God is not speaking of the Catholic Church in a derogatory way. There are many priests, nuns, and Catholic people, who love the Lord with all their hearts, and have dedicated their lives in service to humanity. God simply identifies the political kingdom of the Papacy because like all nations it had a very influential past history with the Christian Church. Before we go into that though, let's take a closer look at the ten points to be sure.

REVIEW OF IDENTIFYING POINTS

  • 1,2. It "came up among" the other 10 horns or kingdoms, after 476 A.D. There is only one "little" kingdom that fits this description and that's the Vatican City.
  • 3. It's still to this day a "little kingdom." The Vatican is only 109 acres in size, but it is a powerful kingdom and the wealthiest kingdom in the world. No other power fits this description.
  • 4. It uproots three kingdoms. Clearly documented in history is the eradication of the Heruli, Vandals, and Ostrogoths by the armies of Papal Rome. The last to go were the Ostrogoths in 538 A.D. The same year, Roman Emperor Justinian gave the Bishop of Rome authority over the kingdom.
  • 5. There would be "A man at its head.' To this day the Vatican City is the only kingdom that has always had a visible man at its head- the Pope.
  • 6. "It would be different." All the preceding kingdoms had been simple governments set up in normal political manners. Papal Rome, however, was and still is unique and different because it was a church that ruled. Policies were dictated by the Bishops and Popes.
  • 7. It "spake great words and blasphemy." The Bible definition of blasphemy is composed of two things. 1. A man claiming to be God. 2. A man claiming to have power to forgive sins. There is only one power today that fits that description. The Papal power. Let's get documented proof of this from the pages of Catholic books. Ferraris's Ecclesiastical Dictionary under The Pope says: "The Pope is of so great dignity and so exalted that he is not a man, but as it were, God, and the Vicar of God. The Pope is called "Most Holy" because he is rightfully presumed to be such. The Pope alone is deservedly called by the name "Most Holy" because he alone is the Vicar of Christ, who is the fountain and source and fullness of all holiness. He is likewise the divine Monarch and supreme Emperor, the King of Kings. Hence the Pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of heaven and of earth and of the lower regions. Moreover the superiority, and the power of the Roman Pontiff, but by no means pertain only to heavenly things, to earthly things, and to things under the earth, but are even over angels, of whom he is greater. So that if it were possible that angels might err in faith, or might think contrary to the faith, they could be judged and excommunicated by the Pope. The Pope is as it were God on earth, sole sovereign of the faithful of Christ, chief kings of kings, having plenitude of power."
  • 8. "He would war against God's people and persecute them.' Although this is now past, all people of the earth are aware of the millions of martyrs put to death during the Dark Ages by the Papal armies. The most conservative estimates are 50 million men and women who were put to death. One only needs to read the pages of hundreds of history books available to document this. Pope Innocent III, 1198-1216 was responsible for thousands of martyrs. The Spanish Inquisition, the Massacre of St. Bartholomew, and the history of the Waldenses are a few examples. We do not cite this for the purpose of casting reflection, these things are past, however, we must discuss them to see the fulfilment of prophecy.
  • 9. "He would think to change times and laws." In a future lesson we will deal with the "times," but what about "laws"? Again let's quote from the Catholic Dictionary article under The Pope. "The Pope is of so great authority and power that he can modify, change, or interpret even divine laws. The Pope can modify divine law, since his power is not of man, but of God, and he acts as vicegerent of God upon earth with most ample power of binding and loosing his sheep."
  • 10. It would rule 1260 years. This is a most dramatic prophecy! Beginning in 538 A.D., Papal Rome destroyed the Ostrogoths. Emporer Justinian gave the kingdom over to the Bishop of Rome that year. Add 1260 years to that and you come to 1798. The year of the French Revolution. In 1798 Napolean's armies overthrew the Papal power, confiscated all the property of the kingdom, declared a republic, and took the Pope off the throne where he died in exile. Exactly 1260 years as prophesied!

Now that the Bible has clearly established this, let's go back to the beast of Revelation 13 and notice the comparisons. The little horn kingdom and the beast of Revelation 13 are one and the same. In Revelation 13, the beast who speaks great words and blasphemy, also rules 42 months which equals 1260 days. In Revelation 13:7, it also makes war with God's people. Revelation 13:3 says it receives a deadly wound. Comparing the little horn and the beast, we see the same power.

Notice something else now. The beast of Revelation 13 is made up of the four beasts of Daniel 7. It has the body of the leopard, feet of the bear, mouth of the lion, and the 10 horns of the fourth beast.

Why does God represent this kingdom as being made up of these four pagan kingdoms? And furthermore, notice Revelation 13:2, "And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." Who is the dragon? And what about Revelation 13:18, "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." What does 666 mean? Who is this man? In our next lesson we will learn the answers to these questions, and see how we are personally involved. God says in Revelation 13:3,8 that all the world is worshipping the beast. God loves us and doesn't want us to be deceived in these last days. That's why he has given the warning of Revelation 14:9,10, "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb."

Bill Gilman says
quote:
I've often pondered the being who would be thought dead from a head wound and then be alive and his connection to the revived Roman Empire.
I think that elsewhere in the Bible it is stated that the seven heads of the beast are seven Gentile kingdoms, such as Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome which shall rule over Israel until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Then there is that other beast which rises out of the sea:

Revelation 13
2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

The region ruled over by the Biblical leopard and bear and lion is what in the 7th century of our time became preeminently the Islamic region.

The Islamics were successful against the Christians in the 15th century of our time, until they were beaten back by Charles Martel in southern France.

After that, the Islamics were weakened for centuries, until in this century, nay, in our very own time, they have suddenly risen back up again, as the dragon prepares for his final assault against God's people.

The wound in the head has suddenly healed.

Just an extraneous note here.
I've often pondered the being who would be thought dead from a head wound and then be alive and his connection to the revived Roman Empire.

Might I suggest that very shortly some very scary things will be possible in the field of cloning.

Given this how about a clone from the DNA of John F. Kennedy. He is both Roman Catholic and his seat of power was Washington D.C., referred to at its conception as The New Rome.
He would have the personality and charisma and people would consider his "resurection" to be a miracle.

just a thought

In answer to your question.
before the little horn can come on to the stage the fourth beast that is different from all the others must come forth. He will will be dreadful terrible and exceedingly strong.
We do not yet see this beast on the stage so the little horn can not yet expose himself .
In addition the little horn comes from outside the ten horns and is not given power by them Rather the little horn takes his position among the kings by utterly destroying three of them . This utter destruction is so complete it is described as pulling them up by the roots.
This little horn will be in the background a man of cunning and deception with the ability to destroy these kings by getting there most trusted and loyal allies to turn on them from with in there own power bases.
When he comes to power we will know him by his great victorys and his reputation for victory through cunning and bribery.

Studying the book of Daniel reveals much about this little horn.

This is lengthy...but please, bear with me:

This is the introduction to the "little horn" as foretold in Daniel, starting in Chapter 7:

quote:
7: "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

8: I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words."

If you study further, Daniel gives the interpretation of who this little horn is. It has both a past historical fulfillment, and a future ultimate fulfillment in the appearance of the anti-christ.

It's past fulfillment was between 171 to 164 B.C. - and Antiochus Epiphanes was the diabolical leader who came out of Syria to persecute the Jews and to profane the Temple. He is a "type" of the anti-christ...and is representative of the anti-christ spirit on earth to this day.

But in subsequent verses, it gives more detail about this future-pompous little horn:

quote:
11: "I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking;

I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

12: As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time."

One can unlock this mystery further by studying in The Revelation about what happens to the beast, and how he is ultimately thrown into the lake of fire.

But how had Daniel interpreted the dream?:

quote:
Daniel's Visions Interpreted,

15: "I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

16: I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things:

17: "Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth.

18: But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.'

19: "Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, which devoured, broke in pieces, and trampled the residue with its feet;

20: and the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell,

namely, that (little) horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.

21: "I was watching; and the same (little) horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them,

22: until the Ancient of Days (Jesus Christ) came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.

23: "Thus he said:

"The fourth beast shall be
A fourth kingdom on earth,
Which shall be different from all other kingdoms,

And shall devour the whole earth,
Trample it and break it in pieces.

***(This has its ultimate fulfillment in the time of the 7 year-Great Tribulation).

24: The ten horns are ten kings
Who shall arise from this kingdom.
And another shall rise after them;
He shall be different from the first ones,
And shall subdue three kings.

25: He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,

Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,

And shall intend to change times and law.

Then the saints shall be given into his hand

For a time and times and half a time
."

***(That's the last 3 1/2 years of the 7 year Great Tribulation).

1. Mr. Berlusconi has already "changed the law" in Italy.

2. He has "spoken pompous words against the Most High" by saying..."I am the Lord's Anointed!"

3. From what I have heard, the European Union, under Berlusconi's rule...seeks to dismantle Christianity, which is persecution of the saints.

Going on,

In Daniel 8:11 it says this "little horn"..."even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the Host."

Mr. Berlusconi pompously stating..."I am the Lord's Anointed" is blasphemy against the Most High. Jesus Christ is the Lord's Anointed...and is the Prince of the Host.

Pompous words indeed Mr. Berlusconi!

Look further at the heart of this little horn:

quote:
9: "And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land.

10: And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them.

11: He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host;

and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary (The Temple) was cast down.

12: Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices;

and he cast truth down to the ground.

He did all this and prospered
.

13: Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking,

"How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?"

***(That's the Great 7 year Tribulation...which shall be shortened for the elect's sake).

14: And he said to me, "For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed."

Two-thousand-three-hundred days. That's a wee bit over 6 1/2 years. [Wink]

[Gabriel Interprets the Vision]

15: "Then it happened, when I, Daniel, had seen the vision and was seeking the meaning, that suddenly there stood before me one having the appearance of a man.

16: And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, who called, and said, "Gabriel, make this man understand the vision."

17: So he came near where I stood, and when he came I was afraid and fell on my face; but he said to me,

"Understand, son of man, that

the vision refers to the time of the end."

18: Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood me upright.

19: And he said, "Look, I am making known to you what shall happen

in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be.

20: The ram which you saw, having the two horns--they are the kings of Media and Persia.

21: And the male goat is the kingdom of Greece. The large horn that is between its eyes is the first king.

22: As for the broken horn and the four that stood up in its place, four kingdoms shall arise out of that nation, but not with its power.

23"And in the latter time of their kingdom,
When the transgressors have reached their fullness,
A king shall arise,
Having fierce countenance,

Who understands sinister schemes.

24: His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;

He shall destroy fearfully,

And shall prosper and thrive;

He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.

25: "Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;

And he shall exalt himself in his heart
.

He shall destroy many in their prosperity.

He shall even rise against the Prince of princes;

But he shall be broken without human means.

26"And the vision of the evenings and mornings
Which was told is true;
Therefore seal up the vision,

For it refers to many days in the future."

Wow! So much of that description fits Berlusconi to a tee!

Remember...this prophecy had a past-historical fulfillment, and still has an ultimate Last Days fulfillment.

Blessings in Christ our Lord,

Who exactly is Daniel's "little horn" which he propheseid about thousands of years ago, who is to come in these Last Days?

If one discerns the signs of the times...Silvio Berlusconi, current Prime Minister of the European Union may be worthy of a second look.

What's new with this Silvio Berlusconi...current Prime Minister of the European Union, as well as the reigning President of Italy?

Recently, due to his control of the Italian government...with many of his hand-picked parliment being in the majority, the Italian congress passed a law giving the illustrious Mr. Berlusconi total and complete immunity from all of his past crimes, and all of those committed while he has been in office.

The majority of the Italian people are in uproar over this travesty of justice, and feel that civil rights in Italy just took a major hit!

Many people today speculate that this "new world leader" who has risen out of Rome--may be the infamous "little horn" foretold in the Last Days by the prophet Daniel.

Berlusconi certainly fits much of the profile of this Last Days little horn/anti-christ figure.

One would get much revelation of this subject by doing a very thorough study of the book of Daniel, and the interpretation of the dreams given by Daniel.

Berlusconi has been purportedly quoted as pompously saying..."I am the Lord's anointed!"

He is the richest man in Italy, and in most of Europe. He controls all of the major media in Italy, and has much of the government in his back pocket. He has arrogantly and pompously placed himself above the law.

Now...with his current European Union reign of power, he can do practically whatever he wants.

Prayerfully examine the signs of the times, as we have been warned to be aware of...by Jesus Christ.

The time is short...and the Last Days are here right now.

Anyone have any other new revealing information on Berlusconi?

Regards,
